Concert Fun Great staff upon arrival. Took no time checking in. Our concert was in Cherokee, about a 20 min drive. Staff checked us in, took our luggage up, freshened up and headed out. The mini convenience store was great, I had ice cream in our return. Plenty of water and various drinks and snacks and food. Very pleasant stay with comfortable beds.

Clarion Pointe Sylva, NC This hotel was recently remodeled. It was very nice and appealing. Front desk staff were friendly, our initial staff member was Elizabeth and she was very friendly. There is an area where you can buy snacks, drinks, candy and even beer in the lobby. It is a little pricey but if you don't feel like driving anywhere it is convenient. The room was clean and nicely renovated. This hotel allows pets so that was a reason we chose this hotel. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast: waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins, eggs, sausage and sometimes biscuits and gravy. There is coffee 24/7 in the lobby. The only issue I had is the same issue at every hotel, other guests slamming their doors at all hours of the day. I wish people were more respectful in hotels. I agree with another review that turning into the hotel can be a little dangerous. The hotel is on a hilltop obviously and the entrance is on a curve coming down the mountain so if you aren't paying attention you will miss it. Be careful turning into it coming down the mountain otherwise you might get rear ended. Overall great stay.

Overall just Average As a former "Road Warrior" with over 5,000 nights in hotels over he last 40 years traveling for business, I always give an accurate and honest review. OVERALL 3/5 Staff 3/5 night shift man 3-11 gets a 5/5, rest of the staff 2/5, especially morning shift Hotel 4/5 Recently renovated, so it's in good condition Breakfast 1/5 absolutely terrible, especially the biscuits/gravy 2 times in 3 days Location 3/4 entrance is very difficult and potentially dangerous on downward slope of highway, so you need to check your rear view mirror, so you don't get hit Value 4/5 Better than other local hotels, all owned by the SAME owner, but nothing near the hotel except a Tractor Supply.

Terrible Website says check in is 3:00, the hotel has 4:00 on the wall. Drove 5 hours, got to the hotel and they said our room wasn’t ready. Asked when it would be, they said they didn’t know. Manager told us it wouldn’t be ready until 6:30 at the earliest and shrugged his shoulders when we said we had wedding events to attend. He said housekeeping was on the 4th floor, and when we went up to look, there was no housekeeping to be found. Told the manager no one was up there cleaning, he shrugged his shoulders, rolled his eyes and said “well..they are up there.” Asked why we didn’t receive a phone call before arriving to let us know our room wouldn’t be ready we were told “why would we call you? We don’t do that.” We were also told that the manager had a “full hotel and rooms were going for over $200 a night and we got a discounted rate”. Due to a wedding..that’s why we got the discounted rate. They said they would call when our room was ready, they never called up. We ended up getting out key around 8:30 and never received an apology for any of it. Just very unprofessional, very uncaring. Will never stay here again.
