Comfortable hotel just like their name says Bed was comfortable, 3 small foam pillows each for a King sized bed. Stayed 4 nights. Some leaky faucets but functional, spacious rooms and bathroom. Clean rooms. Continental breakfast was good. Fairly quiet location, back from the main road behind a McDonald's. Elevator, safe parking, friendly staff. Good location.

Keep driving!! Worst hotel experience of our lives! This is by far the absolute worst hotel we have ever stayed. If we had not been so tired, we never would have stayed but needed to rest before we continued on our journey home. First, someone needs to remind Front Desk staff what their roles and responsibilities are. First room we were given smelled so bad we gagged when we enterred as it had the most offensive body odor smell. We were given another room (123) after being told they were almost sold out. The room was absolutely disgusting and filthy. Floors were very dirty, matresses were ripped and worn. Bathroom was so dirty and toilet was chipped and peeling. Bathtub walls had mold and rust and we were unable to close the bathroom door as it jammed, no matter how hard we tried. Contacted Choice Hotels corporate offices (several times) and that was a fun experience as you can only reach a call centre who simply offer you points for your next stay (like that's ever going to happen) Contacted hotel manager twice (Sonya) who didn't seem bothered. Asked for district manager email who also didn't seem bothered as he never replied to emails, even though we indicated our next call would be to Board of Health. So incredibly surprising for such a large hotel organization. And that's where this review ends, as it's now in the hands of Board of Health who are visiting hotel this week.

For the underground bunker seeker.. Where do I begin? The only reason for giving this dive a two rather than a one, was the friendly staff. The room was something akin to 1950's army barracks/underground bunker, with an attempt at modern beds. The 'front' door didn't close properly with a missing ceiling tile above it aand insulation falling out. And the backdoor?? (which opened into a back parking lot) also had a space beneath it, through which an array of crickets, spiders, and beetles marched in and out at all hours. Now I'm all about camping.. and prefer my tent any day, but camping is camping. And I don't expect camping upon paying for a hotel room. The bug cadets appeared as stunned and confused as I was to find themselves trapped inside a horror movie. Then there was the black mold spot on the bathroom ceiling..next to a literal hole with more black mold spilling out of it. Upon entering the shower (at my own risk mind you), the horizontal spray of water unleashed an array of hairs of all types and colors from hiding places inside the pee-smelling, moldering shower curtain. Later on, while peeking around the little fridge in search of an outlet, to my horror was a red little spill of unknown origin on the floor, next to fridge (am still telling myself it was juice..or juicy mold) and not 'you know what'.._ Let's just say I was afraid to walk barefoot anywhere on the barracks floors..packed my bag, jumped on the bed in my clothes and stayed there 5 hours until I left to catch a very early flight. When I mentioned the black mold to the 6am desk clerk, he replied 'Oh, I'm not surprised..they've been supposedly renovating this place for 6 months..' The waffles were at least palatable. The rest, Nope.

Late Night Travel Stop for an 8hr nap Classic case of “if you put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig”. This place is trying…. The outside tools like something from nightmares, the landscaping hasn’t been touched, the first floor has run down motel style access doors to the outside, the lobby is a work in progress. Our room (428) had been renovated-ish… newer carpet, newer bed, new decor, fresh (but poorly done) paint job., but still had plenty of signs this hotel had been here a while. Room temp was comfortable all night with an old school not wall controlled air conditioner, bathroom was clean enough. Bottom line, you need a bed, pillow and shower? Don’t expect a 5* experience, but Don’t be scared off. This place is OK.
