Unsafe and filthy rooms. Not fit for an animal Checked into the suburban hotel Tallahassee on July 19, 2024. No problems checking in on when we got to the room and open the door my heart sank. This room is absolutely filthy. Upon further inspection once we got into the room I realize there was no coffee pot. The TV was broken on the left side it still worked but it was broken. The dresser drawers where I’m supposed to put my clothes had rat droppings in them. The microwave had a busted handle and The interior of the microwave is all rusted. I opened up the kitchen cabinets to find mold in the drawers. Bathroom have live roaches crawling on the toilet. I called the front desk to find out about getting a coffee pot and told her that the room was filthy, she said she couldn’t get in the housekeeping because she didn’t have a key but they could bring me one in the morning. Later on in the evening I realize there was no hairdryer so I called back to the front desk and she told me the same thing. Saturday they had all day to rectify the issue with the coffee pot and the hairdryer at minimum and they did nothing. Housekeeping never came in to do any changing of towels. In my socked feet I walked from the bed to the bathroom and my socks were extremely filthy. I ended up throwing them away because I didn’t know what was on them. There were people mingling around at all hours of the night smoking weed and being a little loud. I never fell asleep on Friday night because I felt like somebody was gonna break in my vehicle. I did not feel safe at this hotel at all. I filed a formal complaint with choice hotels. This property should never be on a choice hotels listed at all. Hotel is not fit for an animal to stay in. The parking lot and around the building full of trash. if I could give this hotel a negative review it wouldn’t be a number no enough to justify how bad this place really is. We checked out Sunday morning today July 21, 2024 and the man at the front desk I voiced my grievances with him and like the other person On the night shift had the same attitude They could really care less.

For a "Choice" Property, This Was Less Than Choice! Let's start with the POSITIVE: when we finally got a "decent" room, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the hot water was hot, and the A/C worked well. New carpet. The property is conveniently located to numerous eating spots within walking distance and close to a major road through town.
Otherwise, this was in the bottom 5 worst stays we've experienced.
!. No lobby service. Everything was through a "night" window, no matter the time of day or the weather. Trying to sign paperwork in a strong wind on the glass of the window is a TERRIBLE way to treat a Choice Motels member!!!
2. Then putting us in a room where, when we walked in, the TV was on, there looked like someone had tracked construction dust all over the carpet, the bed linen was dirty, and the "non-smoking room" REEKED of smoke odor!
3. Visit #2 to "the window": politely moved to a better room (see "Positives" above), but we used as few of the appliances as possible due to the amount of grunge on everything. (see photos)
4. No TV controller. Trip #3 to "the window", where we were politely given a controller and told we could leave it in the room. Great, right? It didn't work! We had to work the TV, high on a wall, by hand. We weren't up to making a 4th trip to ask for fresh batteries or whatever it took to get a working controller.
5. No alarm clock in the room.
6. Coffee and cups, but no coffee maker in the room, and no complimentary coffee service anywhere.
7. No breakfast of any sort offered or mentioned.

Don't do it Likely the worst experience was had. Upon registration the room we had booked for 2 beds via reservations online was not available since it had been rented already. The there was the crackhead asking for money when I stepped outside my room. Being woken up in the middle of the night by anonymous knocking on door and ringing of doorbell. The worst part was when they rented the room to someone else while we were sleeping in it. Yea I wouldnt recommend this place after my personal experience. Couldn't sleep the rest of the night tried the foldout couch they said we could use and as I laid on it it folds up with me in it like a taco.

Renters beware! Nasty So for starters the front desk gentleman was very polite and friendly, but thats where the positive ends. I booked online due to coming in town for a football game. So our rooms were twice the usual price. Definitely not worth it. When we arrived they said the room wasn't available so they had to scramble to find us another room. I told them as long as it was nonsmoking. I have to say maybe we were the lucky ones to not have seen any bugs. First thing I noticed walking in was that our room smelled of smoke and musty, when I specifically asked for nonsmoking. Then I noticed a red stain on the floor, that I hoped wasn't blood. All of our sheets, pillows, and blankets were stained. Floor was disgusting to point that I wouldn't walk barefoot on it. Cabinets were covered in mildew. Blow-dryer had nasty old grim on it. And let's not forget the jacuzzi tub. I would've never used the tub! It was disgusting around the jets. Lots of shady people hanging around. Lots of after hours noise. So renters beware

Stay at own risk The location of this place is very sketchy. Graffiti on streets leading up to this place. It was a quiet place to stay overnight but everything else not so good. Even though it’s a non smoking room there’s the smell of cigarettes. There was even cigarette butts under the bed. The room was dirty and sheets had stains. When i asked for clean sheets i was again handed sheets with stains. Housekeeping eventually found clean sheets. The pool looked very green and looks like no one cleaned it for a while.
