Homewood Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport - Westshore

Great baseball vacation Hotel experience was great We have been staying here for years for Spring Training. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Free breakfast was convenient and Marcel the Manager, was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Looking forward to seeing the renovations this year!

Lack of cleanliness Only giving 2 stars because the hospitality was on par, but the room deserves a 1. We booked a king suite and it was smaller than expected, nearly touched the curtains (which had a crumb/food stick to it) by the bed trying to get in. The suite looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in at least 2 weeks and everything was outdated. The furniture had not been dusted (e.g. bedroom headboard, bottoms of walls, and all lamps had dust on them). Housekeeping came every other day and at least took out the trash, removed the sheets (remade the bed) and replaced the towels. But that room needed to be dusted and vacuumed and never was. It didn’t feel clean (e.g. Someone in our floor left a plate of food outside their door and it had been there for at least 24 hours). On our first night the shower handle appeared to be broken. Upon calling the front desk, the receptionist said he could send someone in the morning and did not offer any other solution (e.g. another room) until my husband got on the phone then he said he’d send their maintenance person. The maintenance guy was friendly and had to show my husband how to turn on the shower but it took a lot of muscle every time we wanted to turn on the shower. Second maintenance issue one gas range on the stove didn’t work but the other did so it sufficed. When we complained about the quality of the room to the lady at the front desk she said they would be renovating the following week, which seemed like a made up response since reviews show they had renovated just last year. Based on what I paid, I expected something different: this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. It was also confusing following the reviews (which are so mixed) since this hotel is in a plaza with other hotels.

Great stay !! The young girl at the desk was very friendly and helpful upon our arrival.... the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was so good. When checking out the young man at the front desk named Bernardo was also very helpful and polite. We Definitely will be returning for our next trip. Our stay was a Pleasant one .

Great place to stay I was on a vacation with one day for business and May at the front desk was tenacious at making sure we had the room that best fit our needs… all I can say is Thank You Hilton for hiring someone who understands Customer Experience!! I would stay here again and again!!!

Manager and staff at this Homewood Suites Hilton are excellent Suites in Hil Marcell, who happens to be the manager, went above and beyond for my sister and I. It was actually kinda funny and timely because we had just checked out of a Marriott and I was telling her how superior I felt Hilton hotels are to Marriott in service and amenities. Marcell accommodated us with early check-in provided us with a complimentary juice and upgraded our room. He did all of this without our request. I have even more btand loyalty to Hilton due to his service. I'm definitely glad I'm a Hilton Honors member
