Budget option on the mountain The hotel is in a perfect location in between Camelback snow tubing, and Camelback ski Lodge. You could walk to the ski area from the hotel, although it would be uphill, but you would save yourself a headache of the traffic in the area and not finding parking. There was plenty of parking at the hotel and the lobby is nice and bright. There is a lovely restaurant downstairs with a buffet breakfast. They did have a pool, but we did not check it out. Otherwise, the hotel was very dated with an 80s feel and worn carpeting leading down a dimly lit hallway to your room rooms. Some of the buttons for the elevators did not work. The best part of the room was the beds were very comfortable and we had a view overlooking the mountain. (if you book early enough you can get a room with a balcony.) Otherwise, the rooms were economical. We had a table, TV and mini fridge. But overall price to quality was right on. I was happy with our stay and felt it was worth the value. If you’re looking for an economical option and don’t need a lot of amenities or luxury rooms then I would stay here. FYI: I would be careful what time you go to the hotel. We try to get there a little after 4 PM on a weekend and it took us 40 minutes to go 3 miles. It’s a one lane road to the hotel and it bypasses all the major Camelback areas and other hotels. The drive is usually 7 minutes otherwise.

Old and disintegrating. I have stayed here several times and while the common areas have improved the rooms have not. My deadbolt did not go into the door frame. They fixed it, but it should never have been broken. The toilets lack sufficient strength to flush everything the first or even second time. The key cards often fail necessitating frequent trips back to the lobby for a new one. The rooms are so old and dated that they are beginning to fall apart. Breakfast is entirely too pricey for what you get and then they charged us the wrong amount despite claiming they gave us a discount. The area is beautiful with so many food options and the views are lovely, but Camelback needs to buy this place and fix it up.

Not recomended . Got robbed. I am writing this with hands shaking and tears in my eyes. My girlfriend and I booked a two night stay, on the afternoon of day two, I made the naive mistake of leaving a vial of meds in the open when housekeeping was due to arrive. We went out, then when we came back I went to take my meds. The vial had a significant number of meds missing. It looked to me like someone skimmed some off the top, hoping I wouldn't notice. I'm a nurse and I fastidiously count my pills. I'm angry and concerned but mainly sad that we are living in the kind of world where someone's medication isn't safe in a room for a few hours. If, god forbid, those were heart meds or anti seizure meds, they could have killed someone. It's a shame because the location is so convenient, but I can never recommend this place after this happened. I'm thinking this is ongoing, because the lady at the desk, Barbara, seemed neither surprised nor apologetic when we explained what happened. I filed a police report and my girlfriend and my nice long weekend ended on a terrible note.

No respect!!!!!! Very unhappy with our stay, lots of Marijuana smoking!! The place was full of it. The pool was taken over with out smoking and loud music!! Not very considerate of others. The hotel is old. Very dated. Room was clean but dated. Prices are too much for what we expected
