Not worth the price This place is run down and dirty. The bed was good but that's all. Exterior door at end of hall was left propped open so anyone Could access at any time. Lounge chair was so grimy I wouldn't sit in it. All furniture was damaged with doors hanging crooked and strips of veneer missing. Shower was moldy and looked as if the sill at bottom of door had never been cleaned. Even though Hampton Inns are usually a go to for us, we won't be coming back

Me, too, this one is still the worst. The good: Room 112 has new amenities. Breakfast was fine. The housekeeper was nice. But: horrible stains on the desk chair, the nice housekeeper gave me a fixed leg one instead. The carpet was threadbare and stained. Why remodel the bath and leave that carpet? The elevators were broken and the ice machines were broken. According to them, I did not verify. I asked the desk clerk to tell the manager how deeply offended I was to be given a room with that chair, which wobbled on its way out like it was going to fall apart. So, I thought maybe I’d get a note of apology or a $5 coupon or a bottle of water….nada. The sidewalk by the pool and the parking lot pavement are falling apart.

Worst Hampton Inn I've stayed in I'm a frequent traveler and stay at Hampton Inns and other Hilton hotels often. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in. Upon checking in, we were given room keys and proceeded to our room. When entering our room, there was a TV, tools and a drill on our bed. We went down to tell the front desk, and the maintenance guy who was walking in said "I told yall not to put anyone in that room". Our entire stay was miserable as the temperature in the lobby was 80° or higher the entire time, and the temp in the hallway outside of our room was 85°-87°, so our room never did cool down. There was also a guest's dog that barked for long periods of time at all his of the day and night. Lastly, both ice machines were out of order during our entire stay, and front desk staff said they couldn't do anything about getting us ice. Horrible stay, and corporate's response was unsatisfactory despite the "Hampton Inn Guarantee". I guess we'll be switching to Marriott hotels from now on.

Disappointing hotel experience. Not up to usual Hilton standards. Room and common areas were all uncomfortably warm. Shower fixtures all loose. Electrical and phone receptacles near beds would not hold plug in devices. Water stains on ceiling in breakfast area. Beds and floors creak. Spend your money and the night elsewhere.

Out of Order My wife and I regularly stay at Hampton Inns because they have a consistent standard of quality. Unfortunately, the Taos Hampton Inn fell way short of that standard. 1) they should train their staff to know about Taos. They were generally clueless. 2) shampoo and vacuum the carpets - we were there six nights and the same crap was in the stairways the entire time. 3) entry doors were missing knobs and hardware. 4) they had signs up “This door is locked at all times for your security” and the doors were constantly blocked open with rocks. 5) people were smoking (not just cigarettes) on the patio with the doors blocked open so the inside common areas were polluted with smoke. We are not nitpicky, we understand that staffing and logistics can be challenging for any motel. But we will never pick the Taos Hampton Inn again.
