Don't stay here. The facility is "under renovation" and appears to have been under renovation for a long time. There were far fewer cars in the parking lot than the number of rooms, but the staff wouldn't consider allowing us to check out late "because we are so busy". It is in serious need of new ownership.

Try Someplace Else This hotel is in desperate need of a full remodeling or closure. Not up to Choice Hotel standards. Walls are extremely thin. I could hear every word my neighbors said. The bathroom, although clean feels like from the 1960s. A sign out front says it will be remodeled. I suggest you wait until it is.

Much better than expected! The negative review listed first is totally unfair. First of all it is from 2016!! Our experience (two women and a dog) was very positive, although the hotel is clearly showing its age, so are we! the beds were comfy, the desk person was very nice, the breakfast was fine. The hotel was almost empty, though - a little spooky. Maybe they are about to renovate.

Good lower-priced option in Taos. This is an old motor hotel with large rooms, wide hallways, a big lobby and a big breakfast room. The exterior of the hotel is in quite worn shape but the room was excellent - very large, quiet, and clean. The carpet, furnishings, and bed were in very good condition. The only thing that could have used some work was a few cracked tiles in the shower. I had requested a second story room which is reached by interior corridors. I didn't hear any noise during my one night stay. Some of the first floor rooms are reached by doors directly next to the parking lot so I suspect they may not be as quiet. Breakfast was included and the choices were better than many similarly priced hotels. I chose this hotel mainly because of the price compared to the other options in Taos, not wanting to spend a great deal, and I would stay here again.
