Very disappointing We attended a wedding here in June. The setting was beautiful and the food was lovely, including our breakfast. I would also like to point out that all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was a different story. The bathroom was rather disgusting. There was mould all over the ceiling and wall, which can pose health risks and our toilet was blocked, meaning we had to use the main hotel toilets. There was also a cracked window that had been taped up and the room cleanliness wasn’t brilliant either. We expected better than this for the price we paid and better from the management who don’t respond to your complaints.

Have had far better afternoon teas elsewhere. We went for afternoon tea using a buy a gift voucher and as expected (having visited before) the ambience and environment was lovely but unfortunately there were a few things that let it down this time.
There was only one member of staff serving and was rushed off her feet meaning long wait times. The sandwiches did not reflect what was stated on the menu and they were all made with white bread bar one cheese and spring onion sandwich.
The scones didn't seem fresh, the clotted cream was too hard, there was no watercress on the egg and watercress sandwich, and to top it all the waitress brought the bill charging us again for the whole afternoon tea not just the glass of champagne we had.

Poor accommodation The location and the surroundings are beautiful unfortunately once inside the room it was very dirty, musty smelling and facilities poor. The restaurant was very nice, staff polite and food was good

Very dissapointing and the manager doesn't care Attended a wedding in April and paid £200 for one night in the poster room, which was supposed to be one of their 'grand rooms'.
Unfortunately.......
The night before in the Premier Inn was better....and that wasn't great.
Where do I start...
The sink didn't drain, One of the windows was smashed there was no showergel so couldn't even shower properly before the ceremony, there were stains and cobwebs on the walls & ceiling, the room was too hot to sleep.. the drinks were ridiculousy expensive, the evening food was undercooked and not very nice.
The only thing good was the breakfast in the morning. We wouldn't stay here again if you paid us...
We tried and tried to contact Michelle (The manager) and left messages but she doesn't return calls or emails. We feel like we have just been robbed and fobbed off.
Shame really as we were looking forward to a night away and enjoying our friends wedding.
