Fantastic castle lovely room we had our favourite place now Beautiful castle great room lovely grounds smart bar room definitely stay again Only thing that let it down a little bit was the restaurant Thought the food could have been a better quality for the cost and a better menu Breakfast was lovely Definitely be staying again and explore again Don’t let the comments about the food put you off it’s a fantastic place Very warm for a castle

Dream Wedding _ _ Where do I begin…. WHAT A VENUE __ We were lucky enough to get married here and from the minute we walked into the venue for right up until our wedding the team at Peckforton were AMAZING. We had lots of guests staying over our wedding weekend and they were all so happy with the rooms, food and staff. Such an incredible venue and would recommend this venue as a wedding venue and somewhere tk stay everyday of the week! THANK YOU PECKFORTON ___

Unsatisfactory meal My wife and I joined friends who were staying overnight for a reunion meal. The waiter advised that the chicken curry was on a special deal on the night and stated that we would not be disappointed. Well I'm afraid to say that we were all dissatisfied for the cost in that each meal had no more than 6 little pieces of chicken it was just rice and a runny sauce. You o obviously have a money saving chef. I would not recommend this meal to anyone.

Amazing Our stay was amazing the staff have been well trained you could not wish for better service Food excellent loved the cellar bar this area is great for walking

Service lets hotel down I visited with my husband for two nights. The hotel is in a lovely location and we were able to do an 8 mile circular walk, which included a stop in the Pheasant, which was a very lovely country pub. The grounds and public areas of the castle are nice but our room was in need of updating. I appreciate that in s hotel of this type/size maintenance is a challenge, but the bathroom in particular needed sorting, the toilet didnt flush properly, the shower was luke warm and the sealant was black. However it was clean and comfortable. What really let the hotel down was the service. We ate in the brasserie for an evening meal and lunch and whilst the food was very nice, the service wasn't great. Service at breakfast both mornings was even worse and you are required to play supplements for lots of the items on the menu. The wine cellar bar was nice, with some lovely cocktails. If reviewing just our experience in the restaurant would have given 5 stars, absolutely amazing food on tasting menu, very good wine flight and service from a young waiting staff was excellent. Checkout was an absolute farce for us and others, with many bills being wrong and reception staff struggling to put them right, with a couple not being particularly pleasant either. Had a lovely weekend but wouldn't rush back
