Good value and location After reading the reviews on this hotel I was a bit nervous about staying there. The room had be recently redone so it was nice. The bed and linens were very nice and comfortable. The only bad things was I was on the 2nd floor and someone with kids was on the 3rd floor and kept running up and down the hallway, finally I called the front desk and let them manage it. The other negative was the breakfast in the morning, the typical high carbs but for me it was the fact the person working the breakfast was too busy taking on her mobile and smoking in the parking lot that she did not keep food items stocked. So there was great sausage gravy but not biscuits. Finally I had to ask, so 20 minutes later. This is a training opportunity for Hotel Management. Would I stay there agin? Yes, but for $100 in the middle of January trust it’s not London or Chicago.

Infested and poorly kept We arrived at this Holiday Inn tell city I was already a little concerned when I saw the garbage cans overflowing outside. But what I did not expect what I found in the rooms upon first enter in the room it looked to be in decent shape but then I start a notice in that it was a cheap remodel my wife instantly noticed ants on the bathroom sink (alive)and then I noticed a cockroach on the floor next to a piece of popcorn that had been left by the refrigerator when I shut the bathroom door there was more popcorn between the tub and the door that had not been cleaned up. I immediately notified the front desk. The poor girl there was horrified by what we had found and showed her pictures. She was completely embarrassed by the situation and offered us a different room and grab the keys to the other room and went and checked it out before moving things and then that is when I found black mold coming out of the air conditioner unit you could I immediately smell something when you opened the door and then went down and showed her pictures and I felt like she was going to be in tears I know it was not her fault but it was quite a hassle at 10 PM at night I called ihg customer service they refunded my points which is a total nightmare with Ihg and their points when you pay with points the girl at the front desk canceled our second reservation without hesitation and without charging us I apologized for/to her that the company she worked for put her in an embarrassing situation and would put their employees in that type of a situation or even work environment. There’s absolutely no excuse and by the way yes the cockroach was alive and took off running and this was on the fourth floor so you know every other floor is infested Live ants live cockroaches equal other live bugs that could be anywhere even in bedding. Even though I am a diamond member I never asked for anything more I just asked for these hotels provide what they say they are going to provide not just to me but to everyone and basic cleaning and pest control should be on the top of the list as advertised especially when you’re paying a ridiculous amount of money for rooms. stop under paying your employees and pay them the correct amount of wages to get the job done correctly. Do you think I heard from management of the hotel even being a diamond member not at all they left it up to their poor employee on the night shift at the desk to handle their mistakes and their problems completely unacceptable. I hope she finds a better place to work with a better company I would strongly suggest to try Hilton or Hiatt. As you can see from the pictures of the thick dirt on the baseboard and corner of the floor their cleaning standards are obviously very low.

Nice Quiet Room Away From the Highway Not many choices in this small town, but the location away from the highway up on a hill was nice and quiet. The rooms are typical for a Holiday Inn Express. We had a room on the top floor facing the trees away from the parking which was nice and quiet. The breakfast area is very crowded if the hotel is full as it was when we stayed. The breakfast is pretty good, but not a lot of choices. We did not use the pool so I can not comment on it.

Clean but unfriendly and unorganized staff We stayed here for two nights. When we arrived our room had been left open by housekeeping. About 30 minutes after we checked in another family used their key and opened our door. They had been booked in the same room. We had to go to the front desk twice because our keys were not working. There were three of us in our room but we were only given two towels each day. The gentleman that worked the front desk was very friendly and helpful but none of the women were friendly at all. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, and there were many choices for breakfast.

Good Staff--but the hotel falls short I have stayed here many times. Hotel has been remodel in recent years--but they took out the closet in rooms, and replaced with a hook on the wall in a corner of the room. This is anything but adequate for people staying for several days. The wifi is ok. Breakfast room was well supervised, but TV control was just left on a table and left to whomever founded it. Price is fine for this area and the hotel location has a several fast food restaurants in close proximity.
