Stay here in Thermopolis This is the best hotel in Thermopolis. Yes it’s based but if you’re heading to the Wyoming Dinosaur Centre or camping / hunting it’s the perfect venue. We especially liked the bar - good beer and great food. The number of stuffed animals is a bit disconcerting but appropriate for the hotel.

All that Glitter's is def not Gold at this Hotel My family and I visited in July of 2024. Everything seemed nice until you meet the staff in the Safari club some extremely rude guy who at first we asked could we eat upstairs to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains and he was NOooooooooooooooo. Then after seating us asked us what we would like to drink, then he got very rude about they only have Pepsi instead of coke. After he kept coming over while we were trying to decide what we wanted to eat and having children most of you know how hard that can be, and yet here he comes again and again "are you ready?" never ate again in the safari club. Then we had an encounter of the worst kind with the night front desk witch. Why would a restaurant go to so much trouble making everything seem so perfect just to hire rude employees. sure the cookies they served at the front desk was nice yet when you have rude employees lets just call it what it wasn't RUDENESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

They got a good thing going here I was a bit skeptical about booking since the reviews were "all over the place" from one to 5 stars and everywhere in between. Our rooms were OK. They were clean and well equipped. Apparently booked too late to get ground floor, park at door so we lug all our gear upstairs - no biggie. Pool and spa area are very nice with just the right amount of people. We really enjoyed the hot springs pool and got to visit with new friends. We had supper at the restaurant. I'm not a fan of the "dead animal motif" but, I'm not going to knock someone else's idea of decor. Nor am I a fan of the bar-keeps language while talking to local friends but, I wasn't included in that conversation, it didn't offend me, so it's none of my business. However, this doesn't show maturity nor much respect for the families that were in there with their kidz. Dinner was slow (understaffing has struck again) but our waitress was attentive and my steak was great. In spite of some of these shortcomings, our overall experience was good. I pushed it into the "4-star" category because of the "extras" this hotel has to offer and the friendly staff.

Animals, stuffed, adorn the walls Cool hotel with hot springs and stuffed safari animals throughout restaurant area. Though not my style, hunted animals reflect the times of the safari hunts , so I can get over that part, maybe. Regardless they are in immaculate condition with every possible species of big game animal one can imagine. One can spend some time having a look. The breakfast was pretty good. Friendly staff as well. Roundabout way of getting from room to lobby/ restaurant but no problem. Location is right there by hot springs state park. Raging river adjacent to hotel. We almost went to hot tub but got there and was already busy so ended up going to the hot springs park pool.
