Very Average Hampton Inn I stayed for 1 night in a king room + sofa sleeper on the 2nd floor while attending a wedding in the area. I have stayed at many Hampton Inn throughout the country, and this one was just average. The cons: the room could have been cleaner--it smelled freshly cleaned when I entered (which was appreciated), but there was hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor, and the hairdryer itself in the bathroom was dirty. The pillows were awful, and, although the bed was made when I arrived, when I got into bed I learned the sheets weren't even tucked in--that was a first for me. I could also hear every step that the guest in the room above me took. I recommend booking a 3rd floor room, if possible, to eliminate that. The air conditioner emitted odd noises while running (beyond normal A/C fan noise) that sounded similar to a door opening/unlocking, which unfortunately woke me many times during the night. The cleaning staff (or perhaps maintenance) was extremely loud in the morning around 7:45am, which is early on Sunday when you know you likely have sleeping guests. The workers were repeatedly calling to each other in the hallways right outside my door. My room may have been situated near a maintenance/cleaning room or area, but that doesn't excuse the noise early in the morning. Finally, the $10/night for parking felt a little silly. That's low for hotel parking in LA, but we were in the suburbs...next to a Walmart Neighborhood Market. And parking seemed plentiful. The pros: the front desk staff was awesome. I was greeted warmly upon my arrival, and the check-in process was smooth. Thank you! The king-sized mattress was comfortable. The rest of the room, aside from the bathroom, was clean. The A/C, despite the noise, cooled the room extremely well--better than most hotel A/Cs, I would say. My room was very quiet at the beginning of the night (not the case in the morning with the guests above me + the hotel workers outside my door). The shower was very warm + had great shower pressure. The toiletries were Zero% brand, and I loved them. Overall, I'm happy to have saved some money staying here on Memorial Day Weekend (other options in the area were much more expensive), but I am disappointed to not have gotten the best sleep. I wouldn't recommend for a long stay, but it did the job for 1 night when other options were scarce.

One luggage cart? We may have been spoiled by our exceptional stay at a Hampton Inn & Suites the previous night, but this Hampton had a completely different vibe about it. Dirty carpets in the hall and rooms, stained furniture and one...ONE...luggage cart for the entire hotel. Breakfast options are standard Hampton faire.

Excellent!! FRIENDLY, CLEAN & SAFE & BreakFast We checked in late on Thurs night . The lady at the front desk was very nice & welcoming. It’s really nice to check in with a friendly service oriented hotel . The hotel is safe , very clean & the bed & pillows very comfortable . The Breakfast was very good . With the economy going into recession, I think this hotel will do well, they are getting everything right. It’s rarer than you would imagine. It’s odd that when we travel , only around 2 out of 10 check ins are friendly , 6 are robotic , and the other 2 are moody. I like to return to the friendly ones !

Consistently… OK Stayed again at the Hampton in Thousand Oaks. It suffers from some of the diseases that you witness at mid-tier hotels in the US (and especially in suburbia): no charms, smelly carpets. Other than that, the Hampton makes for a very drama-free and productive stay when you are here for business: easy check-in (online), clean everywhere, spacious room, comfortable bed, decent gym, small pool, complimentary breakfast (including the signature waffle), easy parking. A plus is the location next to a strip mall, so you will have a Starbucks, Wal-Mart, and Walgreens for basis necessities. Nothing glamorous, but happy to come back.

Great staff - beware of parking Jeff the manager and the other young gentleman made our last minute stay outstanding. We look forward to returning from Arizona. Be careful - they charge to park in an unsecured lot and it is hidden at the bottom of the website.
