Hampton Inn Chicago / Tinley Park

Eh Basic 2-3* hotel. I’m literally sitting outside the hotel writing this. We stayed here two nights since we were going to see two concerts. It’s a great location if you that’s what you are here for. First impression wasn’t great. We got here 11 pm and the front doors were locked. Understandable. But there were three people outside trying to get the front desk attendant’s attention. She looked right at us and ignored us. Finally someone with a key let us in. We had to ask for our free water. Non personable clerk. The room was freezing and was set to 60’. Bed is comfortable. Pillows are not. Room was fairly clean. Breakfast was the normal hotel fare. When I was taking a shower, the shampoo bottle was either empty or the pump broken. My husband had to go get shampoo while I waited in the shower. He comes back and then I realize the same thing with the conditioner. Grrr. The body wash bottle was completely missing. The makeup mirror had been removed. The towels are small. Both our keys were deactivated the second day. All these things are really no big deal in and of themselves but collectively just leave a bad taste. The employees just seem to have an “I don’t care” attitude. There hasn’t been a bag in the garbage can outside the front door since we got here. The smoking area is filthy. The cigarettes can is overflowing. Do you know how long that takes to fill? The little food desk by the front door looks awful and hasn’t been restocked. The women’s bathroom is out of paper towels and Kleenex. Small issues that add up. Idk if we’d stay here again.

Clean Nice Hotel in a Good Location This is a nice, clean, and basic hotel. It is definitely nice than some of the others in the area. It is close to everything in the area too. Breakfast was good, but nothing really stood out. Nothing bad, nothing good. Clean nice hotel at a good price. Exactly what I needed for the trip I was on.

Horrible stay My car was stolen out of the parking lot. We parked next to the door. The attendant told me and the police that there aren't any cameras on the premises. The attendant also told me that the area manager would be giving me a call on that following Monday. We never received the call. The fire alarm also went off three times during the course of the night, so the bldg had to be evacuated. This was the worse experience that I have ever had at a hotel.

I would give 10 stars if I could! Amazing staff, wonderful stay! If I could give 10 stars, I would! The staff is AMAZING! The room was wonderful! The breakfast, again, wonderful! Our family of 4 stayed here, and we will be staying again. The overall atmosphere made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and the restrooms are also very large and clean! I can’t say enough good things about our stay and the professionalism and the warm, inviting atmosphere the staff created. Thank you for making our stay wonderful!

Good location, awesome staff, comfortable beds, that’s it. So we stayed here because it was close to the Capitol 1 Amphitheater. The location is about as close as you can get. Lots of surrounding restaurants within walking distance. As would be expected, we paid an extremely high premium for the location on an event evening. The staff is absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly. The beds are comfortable in the rooms are as clean as they can get them. That is where the good stuff ends. The location is very dated and needs a lot of upgrading. The hallway carpets are loose and a trip hazard. The showers are in gross neglect and in need radical upgrading. The toilets are awful. The breakfast was a sad joke, I literally feel like my son gets better quality food at his school cafeteria. And tasteless reheated eggs and microwaved sausage. The only flavor any of it had was the hot sauce I was able to put on it. If you have the strength, definitely recommend eating breakfast out. If all you are looking for is a place to rest your head after a concert, and don’t care about a price, this is your location. If anything else matters to you, then I would recommend somewhere else.
