Luxury stay We stayed here for the Eras Tour, every detail was perfection. The staff were warm and friendly, the suite was large and comfortable, and the room service was fast and delicious. We did not have time to check out the spa or pool but I wish we had. The jacuzzi tub made up for it a bit.

FLIES on food, dirty carpets & shower, rude staff, careless management, terrible in all possible ways! I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely terrible experience. First of all, the check-in process was a nightmare. The staff seemed completely disorganized and unprepared to properly communicate and resolve issues, leading us to "figure it out." Their so-called "Continental breakfast" was a complete joke. The options were extremely limited (muffin, croissant, and coffee); to make matters worse, there were flies around the food. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable for a so-called "luxury hotel." The staff at this hotel were extremely rude, which was evident in their attitudes. As we waited for our room, I wanted to explore the perimeters of the hotel, but they had most of the area secluded for a wedding later on that day; as I attempted to walk, one of the receptionists yelled at me from the other side of the room like I was committing a crime. I felt absolutely disrespected (they could have come at me and respectfully explained that this part of the hotel was reserved for later). Next, I went to the second store of the hotel, where I was followed by a footman, making the whole experience even more unpleasant. As if that wasn't bad enough, the cleanliness of the hotel was appalling. The carpets, sofa, and shower were all dirty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. It was absolutely revolting to call this place a 5-star hotel. To top it all off, I received no room service; I left a "service please" sign at the door without success, I had to request towels (sandpapers) before going to an event and request service face to face to someone at the guest service. We made complaint through our concierge, but the hotel management cannot care less. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a complete disaster from start to finish.

Charming luxury First, advice: do a walk thru of the mini bar with staff & document it at the beginning of your stay. Second, the hotel decor is very charming, our suite beautiful if just a little run down—a lived in feeling— the spa after hours for guests was a dream. Included breakfast pastries and turndown cookies, delicious—now my favorite cookies ever. The spa services including massage and the little salt cave totally worth it. Tip-if you turn off the salt lamp it's as dark as a sensory deprivation chamber or a real cave. The only downside is that we were charged for the minibar which we did not use and which they said we would not be charged for as we left. They reversed the charges eventually. Tip 2-Since they do not know how this happened, I don't know how they'll stop it from happening again. I'd definitely enjoy the hotel again, but take precautions to not risk random charges.

Great hotel - will stay there when we return to Toronto This is the second time we’ve stayed here and it’s been fantastic both times. The location is great, the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We’ll be staying next time we’re in Toronto. There’s a nice pool and good gym.

What to do when a belle falls apart?? 1. Restaurant 8/10 With a fabulous old time jazz blues But totally overcharged for a martini 2. Room 6/10 Beautiful room With no updated bathroom 3. Pool 4/10 Fantastic to have in Yorkville!! But the liner is falling apart and gross! 4. Room service 4/10 A wonderful woman on the phone, but the young man forgot the cream for the coffee?! 5. Breakfast 4/10 Gorgeous decor- but no food? Just croissants and canned juice that the crotchety server needs 15 minutes to get? Oy !!! This place is gorgeous but it needs so much work and help!!! I love the physical place, the location- but it's actually falling apart!!!
