Pleasant hotel close to the city centre and with parking Chose this hotel because we wanted to spend the evening in Tours city centre. This was an Ibis Styles and proved far better than the standard Ibis we had stayed at the night before. The room was spacious and pleasant (without the very budget feel of the standard Ibis). The breakfast was fine once you tracked down all the things you needed! Ibis have egg-boiling machines, which are fine provided that some slots in the machine are free and not being used by other guests. Otherwise you have to wait for them to claim their eggs and then wait for yours to boil. Can take some time! I'm guessing this system reduces the number of eggs that get used. Personally, I'd be happy with some ready to go, hard-boiled eggs as an additional option. Another reason we chose this hotel was for the secure, private parking (extra charge payable). Was surprised that it wasn't possible to reserve this in advance. Had we arrived to find the car park full, it could have been a problem as this is a busy part of the city. One thing to note is that the surface-level car park is entered through a narrow arch and you need a wide turn to get the right angle. This can be problematic in heavy traffic. It's probably best to approach on the other side of the road and to turn across the traffic. The staff were helpful and friendly. They advised us how to take the tram into the tourist area in the city centre. In fact, you can walk there in about 30 minutes if you prefer. Would happily stay here again, although it took quite some time to drive through the heavy traffic to get there.

Not our best Ibis Styles hotel. The hotel was easy to find, Sebastian gave us very friendly and helpful reception and we had a choice of two hotel car parks, 10 Euro; I chose the open air one as it is easier to enter. We like Ibis Styles hotels, this our 4th within a few months, as they offer good quality accommodation at a reasonable price, without any frills but with everything we need. This one seemed to be somewhat older than the others we have experienced and felt a little 'tired' and in need of some 'tlc'. It is not in a very good area and we were grateful for the hotel car park. To find somewhere to eat, other than fast food and fried chicken places, we had a brisk 20 minute walk towards the Hotel de Ville. Breakfast was fine but, as there were very few guests, there were no cooked dishes; there was an egg boiler. The staff were all pleasant and friendly but I don't think that we would stay again.

An ok Stay made good by staff The hotel sadly just didn’t live up to expectation . The staff are like everyone says the best thing about this hotel . It is tired The car park is exceedingly narrow and hit and miss you will be let in , ok once you have the code . Underground is so tiny we didn’t bother . A grill comes down at night so it is secure The welcome is nice and after ensuring Accor membership was in the booking we where offered a complimentary drink , it’s not about the drink it’s the recognition to the loyalty scheme that means more The hotel is tired and needs a make over . The room is ok , main thing is bedding and towels clean The bed was really low , arthritic knees did struggle _ The TV is tiny by todays standards so a struggle to watch from bed Bathroom like all Ibis Sykes is one size fits all toiletries wise ie wash and hair stuff all in one The towels where great soft and thick No facilities for drinks in the room however kettle and water etc offered in reception The bar only opened a few hours in the evening which was a shame . It was small and choice offerings equally small The restaurant choice was so disappointing. Again staff made the difference but the food was poor . Limited choice and not overly good . Breakfast too was ok . Plenty of cereal and fruit but limited bread . There were cheese , ham and jams and yes boiled eggs , yoghurt for those that struggle with cereal . Pancakes _ would go well though Hot drinks were tasteless oddly and often came out watery Over all an ok stay made better by the great staff

Nice hotel - nasty man at front desk We like this hotel and the underground parking for 9€. Note: Try to find free parking on the street, but it’s difficult. The hotel is nice, but not up to Styles standards. Room 424 had a nice view, but tiny tv (couldn’t read the info on bbctv). Weak Wi-Fi. The room was fairly large and clean. We had a bad experience with a man at the desk. My card had not been going through on the ALL Accor app for some reason. I had called my bank the two times it happened, and they said the card was fine. I asked the man to help me make a reservation at the Ibis centre gâre in Orléans, but he said it was a red ibis, it wasn’t the same hotel, so he couldn’t help us (!). Of course it IS an Ibis, and he was being snobby about it. That’s the first time an ibis, mercure, or Novotel wouldn’t help us make a reservation at another. We did resolve it by calling Orléans, and nice lady, Oanna, helped us. She is a good Accor employee; he is not. We shouldn’t have had to call. Also, we realized too late that the Ibis centre gâre is closer to old town than styles, which we would have preferred. The tram in front of the Styles was easy to take: 3.50€ for round trip.

Parking, helpful staff, good family suite We stayed for one night during school holidays in the family suite. The room was big and clean. Staff were very helpful with tips for getting around on public transport and where to look for restaurants. While it isn't in the center, the tram directly in front of the hotel is very efficient. Parking was helpful as well, and free!
