Safest Waterpark I love and appreciate the hard work the life guards do. I have been to several water parks (and pools) and I have never ever seen the life guards as active and attentive as the life guards here. I thought it was amazing to watch them physically scan the water continuously. They never stopped. And they worked as a team. A drill was also performed while we there with a dummy in the water. I thought that was amazing because it was during a busy time and it kept the life guards on their toes. The whistles are also the loudest whistles I've ever heard. They are like sirens and that is how that should be. This park is the first place I've ever been to where I actually felt like the staff cared about my life, my kids lives, and any person that entered the Waterpark area. Most of the time the lifeguards are literally sitting there on a chair. Not being attentive, not scanning the water. Any place that has swimming water needs to take a page from your book. I strongly encourage someone from your staff educating other hotels/public pools the safety procedures you have in place. If it can save one life, then that's one less water death. Good on you Great Wolf!

DISGUSTING ROOMS WITH USED SEX TOYS FOUND BY 6 YR OLD DO NOT STAY HERE!!! DISGUSTING. MY DAUGHTER PICKED UP A USED SEX TOY THE LAST NIGHT OF STAY. We received a few hundred discount and now have to worry about getting a 6 yr old an STD test. Intermittent warm water at best. Toilet paper holder hanging out of wall. Towel rack crooked as can be. One of two shower heads worked. Anybody that says this place is good is paid or never been to others in Michigan. I’d rate this place bottom of the water parks in Michigan. I’m surprised they don’t add a daily toilet charge. $20/day just to park. This place is ridiculously overpriced for sub par food and service that expects a tip to hand over your overpriced food at the counter. Water park is just okay in comparison to others. They charge for everything fountain pop is terrible like water down pop in every machine I tried, definitely no refills _. Location is terrible it mays well be in Canada. I’d never come again. It’s nothing in comparison to either water park in Frankenmuth. Even soaring eagle is better it’s similar in size and half the price. I’ve never had a hotel nickel and dime to you to death. Even a huge a deposit when most don’t require money till check in. They even charge to make changes when most cancel for nothing.

Great stay, but could be even better Our family did not experience any issues, and overall had a great stay. We enjoyed the waterpark, the arcade, the lobby, Ten Paw Bowling, and all the Christmas decorations. Our kids especially enjoyed the Wolf Den feature in the room. While we had a great experience there were a few things that could have gone a lot better. 1. The waterpark room temperature, as well as the temperature of each pool inside the waterpark were wildly different, and overall very cold. It was strange to step out of an indoor pool and feel freezing cold from A/C blowing in the room. By contrast, the toddler-sized wading pool was very warm, so my family found ourselves warming up there before moving to another pool. 2. The $19/day parking charge was excessive. I would expect with such a charge, that perhaps there would be more sidewalks, covers, entrances, or features to make the price worth it. However, I found myself walking long distances (through the snow) to each entrance. Since it was snowing during our stay, that made it even more difficult to defrost our car. 3. We experienced some strange behavior while using the arcade. After redeeming our tickets and selecting prizes, the employee behind the counter mentioned we had nearly triple the tickets we redeemed. We were confused, but were encouraged to select additional prizes. After we selected additional prizes, the employee again told us we had even more tickets than the first time we were told our balance. It seems like the employee was trying to be kind and 'gift' us tickets, but it was actually very frustrating to tell our 3 children (all under 6) to pick more prizes a third time. If we were to be gifted additional tickets, it would've been great to allow our kids to select larger prizes, instead of picking 3 sets of small prizes.

Annual family trip This is our second year back and we continue to love it. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The lifeguards are vigilant. Pool and rooms were clean and the noise level was low. We had coffee and breakfast sandwiches at Dunkin and it was reasonably priced. We doordashed one night and it was quick and easy. We will definitely be back next year.
