Run down, outdated, rude employees This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Air conditioning is not controlled through your thermostat and it’s not low enough. You shouldn’t have to sweat in your room. The employees acted as if I was wrong for asking for it to be cooler. The furniture is all old and outdated. It’s filthy. Do not stay here.

Hands down, the absolute WORST Hilton has to offer..... We stayed at this property because of its proximity to the airport. This place is extremely outdated and, in many areas, in poor repair. I'm talking about cabinet doors completely broken off the interior cabinets, outside doors with large gaps allowing the desert wind to blow straight into the room, elevators not working, etc. But that is not the worst of it. They checked us in with no warning that workers were actively replacing the wrought iron railings on the cement walkways directly about our room. After the pounding and drilling went on for about 2.5 hours, we called the front desk only to be told in the most matter-of-fact manner possible that this deafening noise would continue until sunset. When we asked to speak with Rebecca, the General Manager, she offered to allow us to move to a room on the other side of the courtyard. Of course, we were already completely unpacked and set-up in our present room. Could they not have advised us of the construction BEFORE they put us in a room directly beneath the chaos so we could have refused that room at the time of our arrival? Did they think we wouldn't notice? Are these people simply not capable of thinking that far ahead? As a Hilton Honors Lifetime Diamond Member, I pretty much know the type of quality accommodations I should be able to expect from Hilton Properties. This property doesn't even begin to make the grade at so many levels. Ironically, there is a sign in the front office that guarantees a positive stay experience or they "...will make it right". The administrators of this property would do well to read their sign. All in all, this place is a MAJOR disappointment; well actually, it is a greatly deteriorated, outdated DUMP. Not only would I not recommend this property, I would STRONGLY advise everyone to avoid this Hilton-shaming disgrace. Conrad would be spinning in his grave.

THIS IS THE DIRTIEST HOTEL WE HAVE SEEN IN ALL OF OUR TRAVELS The hotel is very dirty and the furniture appears to be from the 50's and has stains and dried food on it. The carpet is thread bear and had cigarette burns throughout the room and the carpet was tacky when we took off our shoes and our security lock was broken. The housekeepers and Finnegan's restaurant staff do not seem to be trained on cleanliness. When we were waiting for a table at Finnigan's an employee wiping a table, brushed the food to the floor. We asked to be moved to a cleaner room, and the vents in the bathroom had dust and the vents didn't appear to be dusted for many years. The air conditioner sounded like a 747 and made it impossible to rest. We contacted the front desk and someone came to fix the air conditioner and dust the vents. I discussed the nasty room and furniture and the manager said they are putting new furniture in the room. Despite the filthy condition of the rooms, the Manager Keisha, Brooke, Brandon and Dia in the restaurant had superior customer service skills. The other employee in Finnegan's during breakfast on April 28, 2024, needs a course in sanitation. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g54359-d508991-r948673437-Dirty_Don_s_Oyster_Bar_Grill-Myrtle_Beach_South_Carolina.html#

Old and tired with issues throughout This hotel is not worthy of the Doubletree brand. It is old and tired with issues throughout. Stayed one night to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. I asked for a first floor room close to the lobby so they put me as far away as possible in the second floor - the design of the hotel is outdoor entry once past the lobby which involves navigating large luggage through doors with no auto opener. Fine, but once in the room, it was tired musty. The phone wasn’t turned on so I had to call the desk because there are no channel guides in the room - they are at the front desk and need to be delivered - why they don’t put one in every room is a mystery. The bedside lamp outlet didn’t work and the pillows had dark smudges on them. I was tired so I didn’t complain. In the morning, found shampoo bottle broken and on the shower floor. To top it off, there was no hair dryer and the front desk said it would take 20 minutes when the shuttle driver gets back - left for the airport with wet hair. My advice is to avoid this hotel and stay a few doors down at the Hilton Garden Inn. This hotel is not Hilton-worthy.
