Candlewood Suites Tyler by IHG

FRONT DESK I have over 100000 points with Candlewood Suites and had no problem until I came to the one in Tyler Texas. I am a retired veteran and needed to use the computer here. I showed all my identification with Candlewood as well as other identification and still l was denied. I will just stick with the Candlewood Suites in larger cities. I believe the color of my skin played a part in her denial.

Good location, friendly staff, clean room. We were in town for four nights. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean, though cheaply furnished. The kitchenette was well stocked. The bed was comfortable. There was no breakfast offered but there was a confectionery in the hotel which offered a variety of snacks and frozen breakfast foods for purchase. There is a well-maintained and lighted walking trail nearby, which we used during our stay.

Horrible service My fiance Wyatt Earsley and I had to come to Tyler Texas for a work related trip. Made reservations almost a week in advance and his company pays to stay at any hotel. So he has a company card and that is what we used to book our stay. We are from South Dakota so it takes 18 to 19 hours to get here. We called candlewood of Tyler to see if we could get ground floor couldn't they claimed they only had 4th floor. When we call was earlier that morning. So we were probably an hour out mind you it's now almost 2:30am we are exhausted. We called to say we will be there in an hour. The front desk guy Dave or David tells us our card didnt go through so they cancelled our reservation like what? They didnt call us nothing to work it out. So outta pure madness we booked with holiday inn an express and surprise no issue with our work card hmmm find it funny candlewood said that our card didnt go through for them but was fine at another hotel. We stay at a lot hotels and most of our stays are a week or more. My fiance has platinum status with ever brand of hotel for how much we travel and earn points. Never in 4 yrs have we had such rude service and so dishonest service. Dave or David this review is about you. The man who lied and was rude and didnt bother to call if there was a problem. We will never stay at your hotel and holiday inn an express south will have our business when we come back an we will be back. Dont make reservations at candlewood in Tyler Texas you dont know what they will pull on you.

Great Service, Great Location The service here was great and the bed was extremely comfortable! I'll be back for sure! I really like the casual atmosphere at Candlewood! It's a nice quiet place to relax after work. Jean was great as well!

Yuck! This is the first time I had a real issue with this brand. The room had a smell, there was one set of outlets. The bed was right up against the wall. I couldn’t even get the closet door open so I had wedge my clothes into the closet. It did not look like the bathroom was fully cleaned as their was hair still in my shower and a couple of dead bugs on the bathroom floor. The staff was not that friendly or preoccupied with their personal calls. My preference is to be away from the elevator the front desk person at check out was trusted with the people before me and was not pleasant. And I ended up next to the elevator and it was clear the hotel was not full.
