Perfect for family fun Nice place for families and folks on vacation. Lots of energy and people enjoying socializing, outdoor activities. The lodging fits everyone's needs. Keep in mind that this is a summer fun location. Pack your earplugs if you like to turn in early.

Nice but expensive Staff is friendly and welcoming. The room needs cleaning. It was very dusty. The AC is extremely loud and rattles, makes it hard to sleep at night. The bathroom fan is also loud. The lodge is outdated and cost $1,000 for 3 nights. No restaurant on site. Had to drive 15-20 minutes to Clear Lake and Ukiah for food.

the Lodge at Blue Lakes will not disappoint you by any means. It's been said that sometimes you only have to look as far as your own backyard. That can not be more true then a visit to the Lodge at Blue Lakes it is but a short drive North from Sacramento. You'll wind your way around Clear Lake pass by two Indian Casinos before you reach your destination. The lodge sits next to Blue Lakes and depending on your room you have a view of the lake, or a view of tree shaded lawn area. You want to bring along Fido grab that leash and bring along your buddy. I guarantee it will take you no time at all to destress while sitting on a lounge chair and watching the rippling of the lake, and the wind blowing through the trees. This is a perfect destination for a couples retreat, a solo get away, or a family/friend gathering. What a great way to celebrate an occasion by renting a 4 – 12 person boat and take to the lake. The Lodge also has a small sand covered beach if you'd like to jump in the lake for a dip. Heading up the 5 you'll veer off at Williams. You didn't pack a picnic basket for an alfresco snack upon your arrival? No worries make a pit stop at Orv's Farm Market and grab some lunch meats, cheese, crackers, a bottle or two of wine and you're set. Craving for something a little more substantial just across the parking lot is Orv's Chicken Shack. Check in is at 3p and you will be greeted by friendly, and professional staff. If you're lucky you'll meet the new owner Charlie if you do tell 'em Cookie sent you. You'll find the rooms large and well appointed. Once unpacked and settled in it's time for that alfresco snack and to watch the sun set behind the mountains. If you enjoy shopping for antiques there are plenty shops around the area for you to do just that. Restaurants are a short drive away. Running Creak Casino has a Seafood Steak House, and the Robinson Rancheria has a more casual food court. Forgot to pack something? No worries a bit further South there is a larger grocery store near the round about. Breakfast I would suggest driving to Lakeport a quaint old town founded in the 1840's during the Gold Rush era. Stop by Mike's they serve breakfast, and lunch well worth the short drive. All in all you will not be disappointed staying at the Lodge at Blue Lakes, see ya there!

0/5 Not worth time or money Since new ownership, they have made NEW changes that now require minors to bring Photo ID which I believe is absolutely ridiculous considering this requirement was not listed ANYWHERE on their site or any of their liability waivers (TRUST, I checked) . It took my family and I time out of our day to visit this lodge to celebrate my brother’s birthday who could not get in with any of his friends as they were all 14 years old and of course, what middle school kid thinks to bring their ID to a LAKE ???? Cherry on top, we had also seen a single family arrive right after us who were able to go into the establishment WITHOUT the front desk needing ID from the minor they brought with them. How ridiculous. Your front desk staff was extremely rude to my sibling before my arrival and was SO very unhelpful. I would never come back to this place, it is no longer worth my time or money!!!!
