Charming boutique lodge in the heart of town! The hotel is located right in the heart of town and you can walk to everything in the village. There is a classic, old ski-lodge charm to the place that feels really charming. The staff is super friendly - it doesn't feel like a typical hotel, but rather a smaller European Boutique lodge. Will definitely go back!

Terribly disappointing, not as advertised on website no longer a hyatt The "lodge" web site had noted more than a few things that are not true and were not available during our stay. Items and services that are standard at most other similarly priced lodging in Vail. This is not the way to retain clients.... I truly cannot recommend your lodge at this point. Falsities from the web site: -- "Breakfast will be offered and served by Big Bear Bistro in Sarah's Lounge at the lodge. (winter only - surcharge applies)" Not True- very limited and only on specific days of the week No juices....one poor young person cooking on a hot plate.....very sad showing for sure - "Bellman services (winter only): Did not exist and received no help with our bags on check in - "Complimentary winter ski valet" Yes a ski room but no Valet present or offered for our skis- and the room needed a good update and cleaning... many of the racks were broken and in disrepair. - "Full bar in Sarah's Lounge (open during ski season only for après)" Never open during our stay of four nights and did not appear to have been for a while yet you advertise it as such. The last insult.... - lodge reservations are subject to a 7.2% resort fee which covers varying services at the property. What services is this covering at this time? Very insulting.... for pool towels... that is the only thing offered outside of the trash being taken from our room daily. I know that my basic thought of this would be included in room cost. The only plus was the location near the gondi 1. If you folks will make this right it would be amazing... i can see why hyatt bailed... sent a note a month ago about it.

Tired and digusting hotel The room we were given was in the basement. I could easily touch the basement ceiling (I'm 5'9"). The windows were at the level of the front dirt-bed along a very busy sidewalk. The shades needed to be drawn at all times or else people could see in (like the first floor of a motel 6). At night, the area outside the front of the hotel is the spot for Uber's to pick up people leaving Vail Village. Needless to say, it was a drunk-fest outside our window until about 2am every morning. The lighting in the room was dark and the room was in desperate need of refurbishing/updating. The floor board radiators were broken and the carpet torn. We paid for the deluxe suite and requested a king-size bed as this was an option on the booking website. The manager told us that none of the deluxe suites had a king-size bed. The manager was rude and not interested in our repeated request for a different room. She also stated that we were given a basement room because we booked via a "third party". We didn't have the breakfast as this consisted of a person cooking on a single burner hot plate behind an old bar. You will be waiting in a single file line if you want something warm to eat. Certainly don't prepay for breakfast, as the menu options were all below $15 which was the cost of breakfast when we did our booking. In the end, we left a night early of our 4 night stay as the room situation became intolerable. This hotel needs a new hotel.

Terrible customer service experience. Dont book here. Made reservations pretty easily on Hyatt but did not receive confirmation email. When looking for my reservation, Hyatt did not recognize reservation number. The Christiania eventually sent confirmation email a few days later but their website did not recognize the # from their own email. Its 2024 get your tech together! Not being able to confirm my stay, I ended up making other reservations on AirBNB. Attempted to call the hotel multiple days for next week but calls go straight to Voicemail. One day i did get a guy but he said the lady who can cancel reservation will be in later today. Days later, called and repeatedly got VM. How does a hotel not answer phone? Kept trying, Lady answers and puts me on hold. I hang up at 10 minutes and call back. After multiple attempts, Lady answers, says shes only one working. I argued for her to cancel my reservations vs putting me on hold. She rudely goes through process and finds the reservation, She tells me I booked through Hyatt thats why theres problems. We no longer are with Hyatt. (how am i supposed to know this?) Lady then says she will cancel, then hangs up on me. No cancellation number or confirmation. Just hangs up. I will have to monitor my credit card for charges because this entire transaction was a mess. Bottom line for me, if the hotel does not have staff to work front desk, how are they to provide customer service during your stay? What if i was calling to reach family but this place never answers phone.

Always a pleasure My wife and I love staying at the Christiana Lodge. It's older and it's quiet and it has great character. The staff is always friendly and very responsive. I was disappointed they didn't have coffee out in the morning on our last visit, but there is coffee in the room and several places nearby to get some, but that's my only complaint. Christiana is the only place we stay in Vail.
