Bedroom not serviced Firstly I would like to say the Hotel is lovely. The staff are wonderful and could not be more helpful. We stayed two nights on the 26th & 27th July as a birthday present for my wife .However ,on the 27th we spent the day at the Yorkshire Statue Park and returned to the hotel about 4.30pm. We were somewhat surprised the the room had not been serviced i.e. bed remade and comsumeables replaced. When I explained to the woman on reception , she said that they employed contract cleaners and they had all left .She did however, say that she would replace the consumeables which she did and were greatfully received. I am sure you will agree this is not something that is acceptable for a four star hotel of this standard and certainly marred the break? One other comment relates to Breakfast ,we honestly felt that more variety should be offered ie a Continental Breakfast ,Omlettes etc .

Surpassing Standards***** Booked a spa package for our anniversary, on arrival at 9:30 we found out our treatments had been cancelled due to staffing. As you can understand this was upsetting as it was the main reason for the visit. Staff were excellent at trying to resolve this, and even though we had to stay a little later than planned they did accommodate our treatments in the end. The whole team were welcoming and friendly from start to finish and made sure we were ok, offered us complementary drinks and decorated our plate of cake (which was part of our package). The day didn’t start very well but the efforts and kindness from Mo and Dom offers (and the sprinkle of sunshine) made the day all that bit special and both myself and my partner are grateful. The treatments we had in the end were a 25mins back massage, on arrival the girls were sat on the front desk. They asked us to complete and form and then left us in the quiet room, they continued their conversation in one of the treatment rooms with the door open not that far from us, so it wasn’t really quiet or relaxing, however both ladies were really lovely and both our massages were incredible!! By far one of the best iv had. The consultation was thorough and the rooms smelt amazing and were very relaxing and inviting. I absolutely will be returning again for the full experience. Thank you so much to all the team

Over priced for the quality delivered My wife was received a voucher from her son as a birthday gift at this hotel. We arrived on Sunday 27th and was given room 34 the receptionist Donna who was very professional and helpful checked all our booking and booked our spa treat time that we had forgot to book, We arrived in the room and when unpacking noticed the doors to the wardrobe were broken, this didn't inconvenience us just thought it strange it had not been repaired prior to letting out the room again. After we had settled in we went to the main dining room for our dinner that was included with the gift voucher. We both opted for the soup (vegetable blended) why chefs think it needs blending I don't know it was very tasty. We also opted for the seared lamb which was nice however we were not offed the cooked preference medium / well done and my wife forgot to ask and was a little put off with the blood seeping through. On the Monday morning we went for breakfast which all though had good choice it was spoiled by not being hot and below the food standards recommended serving temp of 63 degrees this was not helped with cold plates and the cold beans being topped up with warm beans. The water for the tea/ coffee was also look warm and we had to request a pot of hot water which was delivered. After breakfast I played a round of golf on a very challenging course but very good course and enjoyed my round. My wife went for her treatment she had booked prior to our arrival and said she really enjoyed it. In the evening we had the pleasure of using the spa facilities that were very nice especially the out door hot tubs. On our final day before check out we had breakfast at the hotel and the food was no warmer than the previous day. It seems at the moment there is a staffing issue which needs addressing. No room cleaning or beds made, no tea / coffee / milk top ups thankfully reception got some milk for us. Overall the weekend was enjoyable but not to the standard we expected for the cost of the extra night stay B&B, the bar prices were far to expensive ( Boddingtons £6.55), the food was limited choices and for a 4 star rated hotel fell well below our expectations and quality we have received at other hotels for far less even in Blackpool. Hopefully Stephen can get the Hotel functioning to the high standards a 4 star should be. I have attached some photos
