Baseball team- well accomodated Thanks to Victoria Fox (sales), we were able to quickly change hotels from another Marriott hotel (by airport) that had some highly dissatisfied reviews. Victoria worked with our tourney travel agents and was able to accommodate our group (13 rooms) in SpringHill (and sister property-Hampton Inn). Hotel has a great location to Art Van complex(baseball) as well as shopping and restaurants, and highway access. It also has a good lobby area (able to enjoy company with team without being in a hotel room). Should we find ourselves in Grand Rapids for baseball again, this will be our first choice! The only complaint were the double beds are true to size, and most families would prefer Queens.

Super Clean & Welcoming Extremely welcoming Marriott brand hotel. Incredibly clean and efficient. The beds were really comfortable. Decent products in the showers. Rooms have tons of space. I would have liked foam pillows but besides that it’s a great hotel!

Robbed while staying at SpringHill Suites GR North Our car was broken into while parked in the SpringHill Suites Grand Rapids North lot, and several items were stolen from our car during our stay at this hotel. The robber actually used a crowbar or hammer to bend back the door frame, then completely shattered the glass in the rear window of our car. Several items of sentimental and personal value were stolen from the vehicle. Staff were clearly not prepared to handle the situation, and while friendly, did not offer much assistance besides calling the police for us and telling us where the dumpster was in case we might want to check it for the stolen items. They said there are no security cameras on the parking lot. Our car was parked in front of the hotel, in a fairly well lit area, with several cars around it, so the incident makes little sense. We were shocked by the lack of attention or concern, and that nobody really seemed to care that a crime occurred at this property. The incident definitely ruined what could have been a pleasant stay; had serious consequences for those of us who lost items that can never be replaced; has shaken our faith in the security and safety of Marriott properties, and has forced us to reconsider staying at this property or anywhere near it again. It's too bad, because it seemed like a nice hotel.

Get Away Weekend This is the second year we have stayed at this location for a get away weekend. Good location for what we did in the area. Very nice breakfasts provided. Nice rooms, friendly, helpful staff. The only problem we had this year was when we arrived housekeeping had not cleaned out the refrigerator from prior guests and when we opened the refrigerator the smell of rotting food was awful. The next day housekeeping took all our towels...and left none..and left used coffee packet in the in room coffee machine even though we left the drawer of the coffee machine open to be sure they knew we had used it and would leave more coffee packets for the next day...Housekeeping was not on their usual good routine on this trip. This was easily fixed with a trip to the front desk! We would stay here again.

Clean and Comfortable I have found Springhill Suites to be realiably well cared for and clean so far. This was the same. Both the room and the breakfast area were clean. I appreciate that it has a mini fridge. When driving a thousand miles, you bring a cooler. This allows you to keep your cooler items cold. The beds are comfy and the room is quiet. The staff are pleasant and courteous. The nice part about the workout room was that the equipment each had their own tv monitor.
