Not the Room I booked Nice hotel but didn't get the room that was booked. Parking is $15 a day and the garage is beneath the building. If you don't want to pay parking then ensure your car is visibly empty and park on the street. There is a Sprouts grocery store right up the street and the Bart station is <15 minute walk. Location is not bad and the courtyard is nice. Breakfast - starts late (0630) and has the basic fare. Most tasteless eggs I have ever had but the oatmeal was delicious.

Key fobs/cards don’t work! Very frustrating experience. DO NOT STAY HERE. Staff super nice BUT the plastic key fobs/cards don’t work, the software is outdated. You need a key fob/card to get into the elevator, to get from the pool back into the building, to get from the garage into the building. AND to get into your room. At all of these doors the key fobs/cards DO NOT WORK. Multiple people in the lobby trying to get new key fobs. An older lady on a walker, unable to get into her room. Etc etc. the poor staff trying to print new cards and fix with broken doors. Once you’re in the room, the windows don’t work, the TV barely works. The whole place feels kind of shabby. The walls are super thin so you can hear next-door neighbors and anybody along the corridor. Breakfast horrible. Other Holiday Inns way nicer, but this has turned me off the whole Holiday Inn chain.

Very comfortable and convenient stay. The room we had was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Though they don't have room cleaning every day, the cleaning service person was on the floor daily cleaning the rooms from guests that had checked out. I did ask her for a couple items during our stay and she was most willing to provide them to me. There is a plentiful variety and amount of food available for breakfast. The main hot dish is some type of egg and either turkey or regular sausage available.

"I'll be back!" I'm very satisfied with this hotel. We often visit the Oakland area, but just don't feel comfortable staying there overnight, so we drive back to Walnut Creek. Our second visit there and everything went smoothly. PROS: Nice big front desk and seating area with customer computers for making travel arrangements. Clean throughout. Clean rooms and showers. Relatively quiet despite the nearby freeway. Friendly staff. Excellent free breakfast with large, clean dining area. Nice variety of foods. CONS: It's only $10 but I don't like paying for parking. Lame TV channels: low resolution
