Excellent stay and location I stayed two nights at the Marriott Courtyard Washington DC Foggy Bottom in July 2021. The hotel has a great location. I could walk to the Lincoln Memorial or White House in about 15 minutes (opposite directions). The Foggy Bottom / George Washington University metro station and the Farragut West metro station both on the blue line are also 15 minutes walking. The check-in process and check-out process were smooth. The front office staff were very nice and helpful. My room was very comfortable with good air conditioning. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower were good. In the lobby was the Bistro were I got a Starbucks latte and scone for breakfast. There was a Subway next to the hotel where I got lunch for take out. The valet parking was good and my car was kept in a secure garage. I definitely enjoyed my stay and the excellent location and plan to stay here again for my next trip to Washington DC.

Great location, very good service We stayed here for 2 nights on a family trip to see DC sights. Our room was rather small but expected for a hotel right in the city. Desk service was very good and friendly. We valet parked our car and they did a good job, I believe the valet service is a separate company. There is no option for self parking on site. Tip: book a hotel package with parking included. It is less expensive than paying for parking separately. Breakfast is not included, there is a really nice bistro in the lobby with good selection and fast service. The prices are very high however. You might want to consider packing a few wrapped food items or picking up something from a corner grocery to save a few dollars. We had no safety issues at all. DC has a reputation for crime, we had no such issues walking to/from the Mall area. We did also get an Lyft from the hotel, the is plenty of room right in front of the hotel for pickup.

Clean, Quiet, Safe, located near all the things Clean, quiet and safe! What more do you need?! While our room didn’t have an extraordinary view it was perfect for what we needed. Very quiet at night. Rooms clean and space is ample. Beds are comfortable. Parking garage - $44 for valet. Allowed us to park prior to check in so we could take in the sights during the day. Garage was able to accommodate our oversized SUV loaded with surfboards on top and bikes on the back! No security issues at all! Service was great too. Pros: Safe location Secure parking Clean Comfortable Spacious Quiet Classy Reasonably priced Close to all major sites/venues Walking distance to both inexpensive and fine dining options Cons: No extraordinary view (but who cares when all the monuments are steps away) No free breakfast (a Covid casualty we’ve seen as a trend everywhere sadly) Small pool (again not a deal breaker for us but I know some kids’ hotel memories are made by the pool)

Courtyard foggy bottom washington dc is great The location is great -short 5 minute walk to the White House. Nice 10 minute walk to lincoln memorial and subway. The hotel staff were nice specially the valet staff on weekends. Hard working and service with a smile! Enjoyed our one week stay. Wished the room had a sofa bed to make it perfext! Thank you

Nice Hotel but Safety Concerns Were Not Addressed This was my second stay at this hotel in the last few months. I booked the hotel again as I had a good experience the first time a few months ago. The hotel room was comfortable as last time and customer service was consistently good and friendly mostly BUT there were safety concerns. I had to report twice that my room and the hallway on my floor to the elevators smelled like smoke and marijuana. I am not sure if it was coming from the vents or where but I informed the hotel front desk and there was no follow up. I just gave up. Secondly, I encountered on at least 5 separate occasions over 4 days where other hotel guests were allowed to walk through the lobby with no masks. This is a real safety concern to me and not fair to other hotel guests. Front desk staff did nothing to respond and they saw the guests walk by the front desk. I was going to leave to go to another hotel but I had a lot of luggage and didn’t want to move and weather was bad when I was there. One encounter was right in the middle of the lobby where there was seating and tables and a couple was just sitting down with no masks on at all. They were not eating or drinking and the front desk staff could easily see them from their view. This is unacceptable! There are plenty of sanitation stations and signage but mask wearing is not enforced at all. Management should do a better job to follow up with staff and train them properly. It’s not safe for the employees as well to have multiple people sitting and walking near them with no masks. As a platinum Bonvoy member I am frustrated that the hotel brand allows this. I will not be returning as this is a clear safety concern in addition to the smells of smoke in the premises.
