We had a good experience despite the bad reviews. I’m glad we had a good experience despite all the bad reviews. We chose this hotel due to the location: walkable to the Union Station. We did a sandwich trip. Drove from NC and Parker for 10 days at the Zena Hotel (using an airport parking hotel for $47). Then got the train to NYC for 5 nights. And returned to this same hotel for another night to refresh, get the car and drive back to NC. We didn’t have problem with dirty rooms. Everything was clean. We stayed at rooms 419 and 417. We appreciated having the fridge and microwave. You miss these little perks when you go to hotels without them. The pool was clean. Hot tub was dirty with hair but we used it at the end of the day. The laundry room was working. Elevators working. And the location is GREAT! With a Harris Teeter (grocery store) as a neighbor. Also metro station 5 minutes away. We will definitely return.

Good but disappointing Breakfast The hotel was very clean if a little dated inside. I can’t fault the staff they were lovely and friendly. Excellent location not far from the central mall and quite near Union Station but I would get a cab if you have cases when first coming or leaving. I was dissatisfied with the breakfast which offered a very limited choice and at $21 each was very. Overpriced indeed. I’m glad we included the cost when booking in the UK I would recommend going out instead, don’t buy in the hotel. Overall though not a bad hotel.

Terrible Hotel I booked as connecting rooms. I checked in the day before and confirmed connecting rooms. I showed up and they changed the rooms. Travelling with kids. Not acceptable. One person working front desk on holiday weekend. Rooms are beyond dated. Do not stay here.

Friendly staff, nice property Good value for the money, parking is $59 and street parking very difficult/not an option. Easy walk to train station. Great pool and fitness center amenities. Coffee in room and lobby, breakfast extra cost. Room spacious, beds comfortable. Staff stood out as extremely friendly and genuinely helpful.

Good hotel, sketchy neighborhood The hotel is in a very sketchy part of DC, I found that to be the main issue with this hotel. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is OK/clean. Staff is not very organized or courteous. Breakfast was really nice for US standards. Overall I would recommend if you watch out for the surrounding areas…
