Days Inn by Wyndham Waynesboro

Not very pet or people friendly We have major concerns about this hotel. Upon checking in, we were informed of a $20 pet charge. Even though we felt this was a fair charge, it was not on the website. We paid the $20 in cash. The room (235) was worn but generally clean. The lack of electrical outlets was a concern. The only one available on the headboard wall was behind the bed, against the bedclothes, without an outlet plate...a major fire hazard. There was no place outside for our dog to relieve herself so we ended up taking her several blocks down the street to a dog park. The breakfast was poor...not much to choose from. After returning home, we received a call from the hotel stating that our dog had torn the bed cover. We know our dog and she does not chew or dig. I checked the cover before leaving and did not see any such tear. The manager was emphatic, not nice, and was unwilling to listen to our viewpoint on the situation. We asked that a picture be sent to our email to substantiate this claim. We received no such picture but we were charged $30 on our credit card. We submitted our concern to Wyndham. Their response was to contact the hotel. Apparently they didn't read our concern carefully.

Great stop on motorcycle trip Motorcycle trip with both camping and hotel stays. This Days Inn was nice - got first floor rooms and were able to park in front of them. Comfortable beds. Parking is off of the street, felt more secure. Breakfast offering was pretty slim, plenty of breakfast available in Waynesboro.

Don’t let them take copies of your license or credit card My cc info was duplicated a week after staying here and used in the area. I was also surprised to be slapped with an additional $60 charge ($20/night) for having my pet, yet the hotel has ZERO pet relief/grass for the animal to relieve itself. The parking lot became a place for other guests to hangout and grill. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I ended my trip early due to feeling watched coming/going - it wasn’t enjoyable or a comfortable stay, to say the least. Do not recommend, which is sad bc the surrounding area is lovely.

Cleanliness poor...don't get stuck with the 24hr cancellation requirement. The cleanliness of the room was not good. We cleaned the room ourselves to stay one night. Very disappointed that the mgmt would not refund part or all of the second nights stay when we checked out because we were inside the 24hr cancellation notice. I guess rules are rules, but just beware that you are stuck to this requirement.

Pictures are deceiving The pictures are not what you get. The microwave and everything is so outdated. Look like a bullet hole in the wall. Rack was falling off the wall. Bathroom door looked liked someone locked a hole in it and was just patched. The room had a smell. Did not feel safe at all.
