Great Stopping Point I decided to stop in Wellington and I am glad I did. This stay was great in every area. The building looks great inside and out, the rooms are in amazing condition and the staff is friendly, helpful and caring. There is a 24-hour restaurant on-site (that I didn't try because there was a rib joint nearby). I was wondering how a small town could support TWO Wyndham hotels. I found out this is a railroad city and the crews stay here. That is an immensely positive situation, just like air crews. The rail crews are there only to sleep and get back to work and the money that flows into the hotel means everything is top notch. Also, the rooms are reasonably priced for the quality you receive. 10/10.

Friendly, clean hotel We enjoyed our stay at the Baymont in Wellington, KS. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. They do not serve breakfast, but there is a diner on the premises that is open 24/7 that serves good "diner" food.

Horrible Don’t stay here! Racist staff, the guest service representative Carly was horrible. My son and I flew in for my graduation and was refused a room although we had a Confirmed reservation! She stated that HER system showed they were booked and the only rooms available were set aside for rr workers in case they needed them. This was late night, our first time here in a unfamiliar area and we were denied a room and was left to find other accommodation at night in a remote area. Worst service I’ve ever received, ..she not only put us in danger but her lack of consideration in a service based business is the worst I’ve seen!!!

Terrible stay I will say the good stuff first, the hotel was convenient for where we needed to be and the staff was friendly and helpful. Now, when we got to our room, we walked around and found dirt clods all over the carpet, like no one vacuumed the room. We also found a dirty towel still hanging on the bathroom door (they did come and take care of the dirt and towel). That night about 2:00 in the morning we were awakened by the cleaning crew cleaning the rooms in our hallway. We heard the vacuums running, and things being knocked around as apparently they were cleaning. When we said something to them, they said they are contracted with the Rail Road and are open 24/7? Aren't all hotels open 24/7? Anyway, we will never stay there again. If you are thinking about booking, maybe ask to have a room where no one from the RR stays close by, you may be woke up by the cleaning crew.

Just What We Needed My sister and I were traveling cross country from Oregon to New Jersey after she finished a job. This was a one-night stay on the way home. Our room was immaculate, bed exceptioanlly comfortable, and the front desk personnel were exceptional! It was just what we needed after a long day of driving! There was a 24/7 diner on the lot called Penny's...the food was delicious! Great location and stay!!
