Nice stay in West Haven I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such, I enjoy staying at different properties within Hilton's portfolio. I decided to try this Hampton Inn in West Haven, as it was relatively close to the Metro North station in West Haven. Upon arrival and with Digital Key, I went right to my room. No need to immediately stop at the front desk, although I did so later to obtain my spring water. Having Texas Roadhouse next door was a plus... easy to order a steak and then pick it up on foot when ready. Room was ample size for my needs, no shortage of space for my belongings. Bathroom was decent size too with enough counter space for toiletries. Sleep quality was good; was not bothered by highway noise. Enjoyed quick breakfast in the morning.

Nice hotel, but be aware of the highway noise I’ve struggled with this review, because the staff and the facilities are very good. The only drawback, and it’s a serious drawback, is the noise from the highway that backs up to the hotel. Well, I know there’s nothing that can be done about it, it is loud and disrupt your sleep. I would recommend requesting a room on the other side of the hotel not facing the highway. Other than that, it’s a very typical Hampton Inn. The staff were very kind and welcoming. And the facilities were fine.

Don't waste your time trying to stay here. I booked a night months ago via booking.com. I had confirmation from both hotel and booking.com of the dates. When I arrived today to check in, Tia blamed me for not double checking with the hotel that it was all set. I showed her the confirmations for both. After her telling me there's nothing that could be done, I asked to speak to the manager. Mike was then called who identified as the manager and refused to try to offer a solution. I called booking.com and it was confirmed that all details were booked as promised. Hampton inn oversold and therfore gave away my reservation. Neither booking.com or hampton inn resolved the matter, leaving me with nowhere to stay.

Clean but team made it bad Clean room. Very convenient to get to on the trip. Front desk was very nice. Baseball team was in lobby and clearly they don’t care if other guests are there because the kids were extremely loud and running all over without parents stopping them. The pool was overcrowded because of the baseball team and thus we couldn’t use it.

Horrible hotel! This hotel is filthy, horrible experience except guy at front desk nice and tried to help. First room smelled really bad, 2nd room had lots of hair in the bed _ and finally 3rd room had a water in part of the carpet - looked like leaking from the corner window, it was a first floor handicap room; carpet was gross and old, dingy and if we hadn’t prepaid we wouldn’t have stayed (we thought Hilton wouldn’t ruin their reputation with a skanky hotel). I will include pics of hair found when turned down bed!! Hallways, elevator weren’t clean, hall carpets were in bad condition. (The front desk guy was nice, trying to help us. Not his fault this place is horrible.)
