Warning! -- The toilet paper is made for refinishing furniture We stay here a lot because our son lives nearby. We always ask for a room on the third floor away from traffic and the elevator because we are light sleepers. Unfortunately, the hotel is sandwiched between the Jordan Landing Shopping Center (very convenient) and the Salt Lake City South Airport. I'd almost rather be on the airport side. The included breakfast could be better. It would be nice to have fresh fruit in the morning, not the canned stuff; and although there were fresh bananas, they were very, very green. The peanut butter comes in little packets that are so old the oil is separated and on the top, and the rest is hard (impossible to spread). It may be time to trade that out for some unexpired stuff. The bathroom sink was draining slowly (I reported that to the front desk upon checkout), and there was a strange sewer-like smell on the third floor this trip. Practical hint: BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. The stuff they give you is brutal! Also, upon check-in, the desk clerk pulled out a piece of paper and asked me to sign it. He didn't say why ("just sign it"). It turned out that piece of paper contained all sorts of important rules (pets, smoking, housekeeping, etc.), and I was glad I caught the housekeeping rules (so I could choose to have the housekeepers leave us alone), and luckily I took a copy up to the room because some of the threats on there were important. I think that particular desk clerk should be trained or let go, but others were wonderful (especially Quin).

The New industry standard Our Company had booked this property in late April 2024 as it was close to our manufacturing facilities in West Jordan Utah and the other properties near by were unable to accommodate a group of 20 . The rooms are what one would have expected for a Hampton inn (bare bones). The bed was comfortable enough but the sheets and pillows were very poor quality. After the second nights stay I asked the front desk if House keeping had plans to cleaning and make up my room as it had not been done the days before . I was informed that they had it schedule for the next day as per the New industry standard which is not to clean or make up a hotel room on a daily bases . Something that they got away with during covid and carried it on as a money maker for the property . Saving on Laundry and Cleaning products and staff. House keeping did show up the next day and left clean towels and coffee packs but failed to empty the trash bins or dust or clean the bathroom . As a life time Diamond member with Hiltons loyalty program who stays an average of 100 nights a year in hotel accommodation mostly out of North America thankfully I am amazed that the traveling public is excepting this new industry standard. Hopefully the rest of the world wont follow the American chains on this . When checking out of this property at 5:30 am I asked the front office manager if they could assist me in getting with a taxi to the airport . I was informed that they don't provide that service and I should log on to the internet to find a taxi company . The property in all was what one would expect but the hotel staffs attitude makes it that I would never go back and certainly not recommend it. Barry

Breakfasts disgusting Breakfasts had little or no choice and we're disgusting.. horrible waffles and fake powdered scrambled lumpy egg with thin sausages some days plus oatmeal.which was disgusting... Food served on plastic or paper plates with plastic cutlery like being at a children's party ...I'd fire whoever decided the breakfast menu or even tried to cook it.. pathetic on a 9 day stay

Poor service at front desk Stayed 9/10~9/11 at this hotel. Upon arrival at hotel, there was no one at front desk, which is uncommon at most hotels. After a while, a guy showed up from a locked door behind the desk. Obviously he was not eager to help the guest, cold attitude and no smile. As a Hilton diamond member, I supposed to have bottled water or free treats, and entitled for room upgrade, but he didn't do anything. The hotel was not busy that night and should have plenty of rooms left. Later I complained to the hotel manager and she tried to make up. Got bad feeling about the hotel and will avoid for future stay!

Nice property but service misses the mark Good: hotel was clean and comfortable, breakfast good though could use more fruit, pool well heated but no hot tub. Bad: We had booked a non-refundable rate on a Saturday night traveling up from Zion National Park. The roads closed Friday morning and prevented us from traveling further East, so we booked another night at this property for Friday night, hoping to cancel Saturday's. Arriving at the hotel Friday evening we asked about possibility to cancel Saturday since we booked a second night and was told nothing they can do as the manager was not there. Sat morning went to ask again. Manager returns and apologies we "weren't educated" on how this works, something about a contract between Hotels.com and the hotel, losing money, etc. She said the property did not have the money I paid for the room yet (hotels.com said the opposite). I explained our situation again and asked for accommodation since the roads in southern Utah were closed requiring us to change plans. She was completely unwilling to accommodate. Hotels.com contacted the property on my behalf stating the hotel DID have our funds already and they simply needed a waiver to provide a refund, which the property refused to do. On checkout the manager made eye contact with me again but ducked back into the office without saying anything else. So in the end we lost out on $150 due to circumstances beyond our control. An email to Hilton Honors was just redirected to the property and they have not replied. Lesson learned for us to never book a non-refundable room, but due to the lack of accommodation we will pick another place to stay next time.
