We enjoyed our stay. We arrived just before the Restaurant was due to close for Dinner. Enquired from the receptionist if we could go straight into diiner and "check in " after. No problem at all. The food was ok nothing to write home about. My partners fish was served upside down ( and he knows about fish having had a fish restaurant ) and the batter was rubbery. I chose the vegataruan option and it was ok. Room was spacious and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. All staff we came into contact with were friendly and affable. We enjoyed the entertainment that was provided .The Singer / Guitarist was very versatile and tried to please everyone. I'm sure it was difficult for him as there was not more than an audience of 10/ 12 people.

Cold food and poor service. Me and a friend went to Newtown Park hotel for a meal. Once at the restaurant we waited for a few minutes before being seated by our waitress who was kind and took our order while giving recommendations from the menu. Once the food had arrived my meal was cold (steak sandwich) and so were the chips compared to my friends. There was no steak knife provided either. I asked the person who gave us the food for a side of the buffalo sauce which I never received. After we received the food there was no more contact with the staff until we wanted to pay our bill. My friend requested the "cheque" and the waitress corrected him saying it was the "bill" . For what we paid the food was not worth it and other than the first kind waitress we felt like we were sitting in a McDonald's with little to no service. The beer was also overly gassy. Overall a bit of a disappointment considering what we paid. Can't see myself coming back any time soon.

Terrible Terrible experience thank the lord it was only one night before ferry. Staff mainly 2 of them running the show and they didn't stop gossiping. Asked for menu when ordering drinks (Beer warm) no show, back to the bar to ask again for the menu this time got it, asked again after our meal which was edible to see the desert menu, no show again staff not interested, the lady at checkin was nice thats about it, very dirty as I was walking along the floor tiles in the bar my shoes were sticking to the floor, and were not talking a cheap stay here! Up early to get the ferry nobody around and we needed to get going, had to go looking for staff, found 2 preparing breakfast yes you guessed it the same 2, told us leave our keys at the desk. Lessons learnt here, never again. Lord knows how they get away with those conditions at those prices.

Disappointing Experience When checking in nothing was really explained to us apart from what time the leisure centre closes and we had to figure out where everything was ourselves, It was like she just assumed we had been here before, staff were very rude and unwelcoming in the bar, food and cocktails weren’t great and service was very poor, however the staff in the leisure centre were lovely, the floors and toilet in the women’s changing room were disgusting and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while, the room was lovely but the beds weren’t very comfortable and we found it difficult to sleep, breakfast was okay with a good selection but again we weren’t made feel very welcome or told anything about how breakfast was run we were asked for our room number and that was it, definitely won’t be returning.
