Marvellous Amazingly surprised. Food quality 100% Fried Brie cheese, perfectly melted inside, perfect temperature, fresh salad. No complaint. The Braised beef melted in your mouth, no knife needed, like butter. Green Beans cooked to perfection, fresh crunky . Creamy mash potato, soft as it could be. Beautiful. A Simple , but good variety of desserts, I wasn’t clicking into any option from the menu, however, I seen that one dessert had raspberry sorbet on it and I asked if o could have just that: Simple raspberry sorbet. The answer is yes, Jennifer , our waiter was able to accommodate my silly request without hesitation. Oh , a small but incredibly important detail for those wine lovers! Ordered a glass of Spanish Tempranillo Red, and it’s wasn’t spoilt! I explain: It’s not easy to find a hotel that knows how to conserve the quality of a wine when it’s open to individual servings, takes some skill and care to aachieve that and it’s a skill hard to find in Irish restaurants. To have a glass of wine in perfect shape, busted on flavours and scents as a perfect temperature. So well done for that. Marvellous. Thumps up for this hotel restaurant and our amazing waitress Jennifer , she is surely a big asset. I’m not easily impressed. But I was, we will be back. Highly recommended.

Amazing staff and food - above and beyond! I spent the night before my wedding at Newtown Park hotel. I was staying here with my brother on the eve of my big day and the staff could not have been any more accommodating and encouraging. Before our delicious mains of piping hot wings, pizza and the chicken burger, we had a constant flow of family and friends join our table. The bar staff were quick to serve drinks, ensure our table was looked after and promptly cleared our table of glasses. The accomodation staff provided a gorgeous room with a beautiful card and complimentary prosecco for my brother and I along with some tasty treats. Will, the bar manager, was fantastic to my family and chatted with our family for a bit to add the personalised touch and we were thrilled. The next morning, we had a beautiful buffet breakfast and again the bar staff staff helped my guests and I. 5* service, gorgeous food and a personalised touch!

Lovely hotel needs some tweaking Hotel on busy roundabout if you’re a light sleeper ask for the courtyard side. Nice easy atmosphere, comfortable beds and clean rooms. My bed was much more comfortable than in my fellow travellers room, even though it was more expensive. The bathroom on the first floor needs an update. Who uses shower curtains in 2025? Easy check in. We had a meal on first night, my burger was overdone and the chips were end of basket, I swapped only to discover that there was loads of black spots on the new ones. Service was hit and Miss, bit of chaos behind bar. One man didn’t even get his main and he left hungry along with his child. I asked for a gin and tonic and was surprised to see it delivered in a slim gin glass with tonic poured into it. We also ordered a snipe of Prosecco,it arrived without the bottle and it was flat at a price of 12.50. I had a good 10 mins wait on the g and t. Breakfast was fine on the first morning, all piping hot good choice. A different story the following day, cold food, no brown bread, there’s No yogurt or fruit option. Day one we had a little container for jam. Very few people in the dining room, the message was..Just couldn’t be bothered. Bar area staff need more training Pool area lovely and clean. I would rate it a four out of ten for food. Shame

Family Stay We stayed here for 3 nights during the midterm. The staff definitely make this hotel! I'm not surprised to see Jenny mentioned in so many reviews, my 2 boys adored her and spoke about her constantly. She gave us tips and suggestions on where to go and kindly stayed with them while I ran to get something I'd forgotten in my room. She's a big asset to the team. Maeve served us 2 evenings and was really patient with 1 of my sons in particular. The pool is lovely and warm, which is so important with small kids. Room service should definitely be considered, we could have done with it on our last evening. I understand work has started on renovating the bedrooms, we look forward to returning when this has been completed (so we wont have to fight against the clingy curtain shower again _). Overall, a really decent stay and we will definitely be back in 2026.
