Rude and unhelpful staff, no hospitality We had to relocate to a different hotel due to the AC making a squeeling noise that was not going to allow for sleep. That alone although annoying was not my complaint. I am appalled at the way we were treated by the hotel staff when we brought the issue to his attention. After checking independently to see if the hotel had other rooms available that we may be able to switch to we requested to be moved to another available room. Staff insisted there were no other rooms available to switch us to despite being able to book a room on their website. I asked what he suggested and he said "if someone doesnt like their room they just have to stay in their room, deal with it, and pay for the room. Thats how we do it here." Due to the rudeness and it being clear that this individual had no will to provide any kind of hospitality, support, or even validaation of a concern I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and was told "she is not here". I asked whom I could speak to and he told me I could come to the desk and get his supervisors card and call when she was back in in another day. I ended up calling hilton honors support and they confirmed there were indeed other rooms available but the worker stated the hotel staff stated they were unable to switch us in the system due to the room types being different (so he had lied to a customer saying there were no vacant rooms which is not the way to gain trust of a loyal hilton honors member). Hilton honors support was able to get us transferred to the hilton garden inn only 5 miles away very graciously. Bravo to hilton as a whole for making this switch happen. Thank you. I would advocate for consistent hospitality training and upheld expectations from all staff as the way this worker represented the brand was truly concerning for a hospitality business. "Deal with it. Thats how we do it here." is an absolutely unacceptable way of responding to a concerned customer. I do not suggest booking at this particular hotel if this attitude and way of business is accepted.

Very Nice Play to Stay Stayed here recently. Overall, the hotel is very good. The hotel sits near the I-91 interstate highway, but our room, which faced the highway, was very quiet. No road noise was heard. The beds are comfortable (I don't rate pillows as what works for one, doesn't work for another). The room was very clean. The walk in shower was great. The bathroom does not have a vent fan so you need to keep the bathroom door open to keep it from becoming a steam bath. Since it was just my wife and I, not big deal. The hotel has a nice indoor pool. We enjoyed our stay and we would gladly stay here again (only we would bring our pillows).

Will stay again Once again, it was a nice place to stay. Clean room and all areas, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was good, waffles, danishes, sausage, hard boiled eggs, did not look for other eggs. Across from the VA hospital, so quick to get to. Easy on off expressway

Average hotel stay - good value and no complaints We made a very last minute decision to go skiing at Killington and the only hotels around Killington were twice as expensive, run-down, and didn't have a pool or breakfast. It is about an hour drive to Killington but for us it was worth it (over an hour if you get behind folks going under the speed limit which happens a lot in VT). It is also an easy drive to Dartmouth College and the Upper Valley Aqua Center (with indoor splash park for kids - year-round and $10 for kids/$17 adults) is a two-minute drive away. Woodstock is 14 miles or about 25-30 minutes away ($30 in Uber when I checked), Dartmouth Coach bus station in Lebanon is 12 minutes, and Whaleback Mountain is 15-20 minutes or so. Hampton Inn provides pretty consistent quality across its hotels. The beds were comfortable and this place had a lot of fluffy pillows (excellent for pillow fights). Standard room amenities - microwave, large-mini fridge, small coffee maker, iron, desk, wall-mounted TV that swivels, etc. The room was fairly spacious for two-queens, but it would be really tight with a crib added. No tub, just a large shower that took awhile to heat up. We were at the end of the hallway so no noise. The room had black-out curtains. The pool was small but sufficient for about 8-10 kids at once (I think the most there when we were there). It was very chlorinated though and it was hard on my skin. It was an ok temperature - kind of chilly but not too cold. Gas fireplace in the lobby with some seating. Breakfast was also in the lobby area. Standard Hampton Inn breakfast - eggs (hardboiled and scrambled/omelet), potatoes, sausage, waffles, breads/muffins/bagels, cereals, fruits, juice, milks, almond milk, and coffee/tea. There are lots of restaurant choices within a 5-7 minute drive between White River Junction and West Lebanon, NH.

Basic but fine Basic chain hotel, fine for a night or two. There was hair in the tub and the bathroom vent was dirty (both things reported by others that I thought surely wouldn’t be repeated), otherwise was clean and comfortable. Room temperature was locked and couldn’t be adjusted but thankfully it was fine, as there weren’t duvets on the beds and no extra blankets either (it was 14 degrees out). Breakfast about what you’d expect. All in all fine but overpriced for what it was, would probably choose the Holiday Inn Express next door next time just for the savings.
