The Sternwheeler - Wonderful hotel in Whitehorse, Canada! Going to Whitehorse? You will be very pleased if you book the Sternwheeler Hotel. It is centrally located in Whitehorse, making it easy for Seniors like my husband and me to walk to the sites and restaurants. (The restaurant in the hotel is fine too!) The rooms are very nice too. The staff are the best I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with, especially Keke and Preye. I left some clothes in a drawer when we checked out and they mailed them to me! That's above and beyond their expected customer service, in my opinion.

Freshly renovated motel feel Recently renovated hotel offers decent rooms and a great location close to everything worth seeing in downtown Whitehorse. Amenities are basic and room service is spotty. Shuttle to the airport is free and convenient. Restaurant on the premises.

Don’t bother to stay here Room was clean but lacked a closet. Dinner was passable but breakfast buffet was terrible. Coffee so bitter it was undrinkable, orange juice was so watered down it barely tasted of orange. Scrambled eggs were overcooked and very dried out.

Sub Optimal Stay Reserved a 2 queen bed room on Expedia. Show up at 1:30 am after a long drive and we were told sorry, only 1 room left and it’s a single queen. Room was ok, property is dated. With no other options due to the arrival time we made due but it wasn’t ideal or comfortable.

I stayed here in July and August I stayed here twice recently. Going and coming from Alaska. The pros are the staff are stellar. The price is pretty good, the rooms are clean. It is centrally located in down town Whitehorse. There is a restaurant on site that was pretty good, unsure if it had vegetarian options? The cons, some of the rooms didn’t have much of a view, inner courtyard that wasn’t much to look at. Of coarse if you like darkness, this could be a plus, especially in a place that has as many hours of light as this area of the world can have.. The hotel is maybe a little older with signs of wear in places. I have and would stay here again.
