Perfect overnight stay This has been our stop for years between Texas and Virginia. The owners are friendly and want you to have a good nights rest. I feel very safe here when I get up to take my pup out during the night. Thank you so much for such a good night's sleep. The room is clean, the sheets are sooo soft. What more can a person ask for after driving all day?

We love this place¡ When anyone is traveling and wants to stop for a good night rest, there are many things to consider. Safety first, comfort, your children and pets, and location. This cute little place we found years ago has been our go-to place when we travel from Texas to Virginia. The owners are so friendly and yet professional. They monitor this area, and I feel very safe going out to take my pup to do his business in the middle of the night. Comfort is their best option. You can request many options for the room, and they will try their best to make you happy. I love a medium firm, and my husband likes a firm bed. They have that!! This place has been open for many years. We just love our stay in summer or winter. Yes, the rooms have all of the amenities you need for a great visit.

Oh my! Where do I start? First of all, anyone with any disability should avoid this place entirely. For instance: No hand rails in the tub/ shower No ADA toilets but the toilet was a few inches from the tub so that did help get up off the floor No skid mat in the very slippery tub The faucet in the tub pulled away from the wall when turned on The sink faucet dripped all the time The entire 6” or so of the bottom of the bathroom door frame was rotted off. Totally a rotted hole there. Could have cut your foot on the black, rotted wood. Most of the wall plugs were not secure to the wall and plugs wouldn’t stay in. Poor lighting Toilet didn’t flush unless you held the handle down and waited. Barely room to walk between the bed and the chest and the chair Upholstered chair was filthy and you could feel the springs Pillows were hard and flat. Breakfast was apples or bananas - which is good Dry cereal but I saw no milk One inch square sweet cake of some sort. And finally…… no person was any place in sight to offer help. I’m sure when this place was built in the 70’s?, it was lovely. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room. But if you put lipstick on a pig, it is still a pig! Perhaps we will stop at the Bates Motel next time. Maybe we can get some sleep there!

Great place to stay. Nice large clean room. Older property but they have updated the rooms. Big bathroom. Heater worked great and was fairly quiet. Check in was easy and staff was very friendly. Can't beat the price. Pass the town of Jackson and stay here. You won't be disappointed.

From Texas to Virginia Since we have been traveling to this hotel for several years it is just like home to us. The owners are so very helpful and if you have a special request they can accomplish they will! This visit we were asked if we wanted a firm or soft bed! We picked firm and we slept soundly. I especially like the well kept grounds. Our pups did as well. Their coffee in the lobby is brewed perfectly! I noticed there is a huge, several story hotel across the hiway behind the gas station and the McDonalds. I suppose some people enjoy those kind of posh hotels but we do not. We like the car right in front of our door and no stairs or elevators to navigate. I feel we get treated like we are VIPs at this hotel. You do have choices as more and more hotels are being built along I-40. More and more people are getting out on the road too. For us, we will stay where we feel safe and enjoy a wonderful nights sleep! On our return trip we asked for the same room and we got it although I got the number wrong! We will be back in 6 months!
