Comfort Inn & Suites Wildwood - The Villages

Needs major repairs We have stayed at this hotel several times when in the area to visit family with no issues. Unfortunately there was issues this time. We were attending a family function and other family members had asked for a recommendation for a hotel. I am sorry I told them to stay here. The hotel needs to address the moisture in the rooms. The rooms had a mildew smell. Luckily we had a dehumidifier in our room that we had to empty numerous times. The other family members bought damp-rid to help out. I told the deck clerk and she said that she would advise maintenance. Nothing was corrected. We are coming back in town and have already reserved a room at a different hotel.

Disappointing We recently stayed here for 3 nights while in the area for a family gathering. I am not hard to please and am willing to overlook small issues. That being said, we will never stay here again. First, the good things. Plenty of parking, comfortable beds, good coffee. Now on to the issues. When we arrived at check in, well beyond the stated check in time, we found our room was not ready because "half our staff walked out this morning". We were extremely tired after a long travel day, so very disappointed. The manager happened to be nearby and she very kindly switched us to a room that was already cleaned. I know she was having a very trying day, but she was a sweetheart. The room itself was in need of renovation. Dark (one lamp did not work at all; another was flickering) and the sheer curtains were stained. Very musty smelling. However, the beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom had some cleanliness issues, especially around the edges of the floor. We had hot water the first morning for our showers, but no hot water for the next two mornings. Breakfast was typical of hotels. But on two mornings there was no syrup put out for the waffles. And on one morning there was not a hot water dispenser for tea/hot chocolate/oatmeal.

Very nice clean hotel We stayed at this hotel for a week. It was clean, cleaning staff was very nice and accommodating. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. They provide a nice breakfast. There is a Chili's in the parking lot g lot. The hotel has a great location, very close to restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

Convenient for what we needed This hotel was located exactly where we needed it to be. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. There was breakfast but it could have been better. As it got closer to the end time, the employee didn't want to bring out fresh food. Because it is not near any attractions, you don't have that early morning door slamming and kids running.

Best Hotel near the Villages I had spent all day at Epcot Disney and afterwards decided to drive like 3-4 hours to Destin but I was exhausted. I really wanted to be in the pool and do the drive the next day. Along my route I saw one of those gas stations that had live baby gators and souvenirs. So I stopped. Next door there was a hotel. I had just stayed at a similar looking hotel in Orlando the night before. Was thinking this is going to be another one of these dumps with the deposit. Checked in they had lemon water on the counter, which honestly I drained. Loved it. The lady checking me in was extremely kind and friendly. Was able to get a discount. Now on to the room. 220. I was absolutely blown away with how amazing it was. Fridge and microwave and cable channels. Went swimming and was offered a beer by guys at the pool. This was an awesome experience. I'll be back again someday. Thank you.
