What a breath of fresh air.. My stay in Williamsport PA would have not been the same without the amazing team at the Candlewood Suites. What a breath of fresh air! It was like my home away from home. A new management team has made some much-needed changes. The team looks happier with smiles from door to door. They greet me every day with huge smiles and always in a positive mood. Housekeeping seemed to be much improved. My room was much cleaner, refreshing and comfortable. Whenever I come to Williamsport this is where I stay. This time was amazing, will be back.

Stay away - Disgusting We went to the PS football white out game and unfortunately stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We arrived late Friday night. When we checked in we were tired from a long drive and we entered the room the room was filthy. There was garbage left in the bathroom trash can, toilet was not clean, pulled down the bedding to check sheets, bottom sheet had a nasty fresh stain and it wasn't from a food beverage. We were so tired we just covered it up so we could go to sleep. Next morning reported it to the front desk so they could have the room cleaned and ready for our return after the game. We returned after 1:00 AM when we arrived at our room the keys didn't work had to go to front desk and have the key reprogrammed. We enter the room and the room was not cleaned. Everything was stripped off the beds except for the stained sheet and piled on top of the bed. Garbage was still in the bathroom trash can, there were no towels and the room was still filthy dirty. Back down to the desk again and the manager had to go get us new bedding and she changed everything while we sat waiting in our room. Now almost 2:00 AM. She leaves the room and we were finally going to go to bed until we went back in the bathroom and discovered no towels. Had to leave the room again to find towels. Get back to room and we finally start to go to bed and of course now the light would not turn off. I had to remove the light shade to unscrew the bulb. Next morning we find the manager to explain the situation and all she did was take 1/2 off only one of the two nights. Keep in mind this dump charges $256 per night. Needless to say we would never stay at this hotel again.... You would be better off pitching a tent at a camp ground for the weekend.

Large rooms, conveniently located, poor service This is definitely an older hotel in need of updating and, although the important areas were clean, needs a thorough cleaning in less obvious spaces. For example, the bathroom vanity and toilet were clean, but the built-in hair dryer was dusty. The kitchen area was clean, but the sconces on the wall were covered in dust. The bed was clean and comfy, but the carpet was stained. The dishwasher had a "cleaned" sticker on it, but upon opening, half the dishes needed to be hand washed because there was residue. Almost all the dishes in the room were in the dishwasher. There were dirt smudges on the doors and curtains. The room was very very damp the entire time (5 days and it rained twice). Despite being on the ground floor near the parking lot, it was very quiet. However, one night we came back to our room to fire trucks - someone had spilled gasoline in the hallway (!?) and they were trying to air out the area. The next night the fire alarm went off (someone's cooking). The front desk had some of the worst service I've ever experienced in a hotel. Every time you needed something (which was often - only one serving of coffee for a 5 night stay, one roll of toilet paper, needed to exchange old towels for clean ones) the staff acted as if you were bothering them. When I asked for pool towels, the woman behind the desk said "only if you come up to the closet with me and get them." She had to come back down (closet on third floor) and past the office to get to the pool, so why did I need to come with her? Pool was dirty, so we only spent about 5 minutes in it anyway. Despite all this, the hotel is very conveniently located to chain restaurants and stores and a very short drive to Little League facilities and downtown. Having a kitchenette was very convenient. The room itself as well as the bathroom and closet were big.
