Another excellent stay. Regular hotel stop of mine as an excellent Microtel, never a problem. I bring the staff some English chocolate cookies for them to enjoy. Nice guy on reception, good humoured, check-in took about 1 minute. I got room 202 this time, very nice clean, quiet room on the back. Really nice hot shower, enjoyed it very much. Wifi was a good 60-90Meg, really great to use. Always happy to reccomend this Microtel to people. When you exit the hotel road you now have to turn left, there is a divider on the highway, just go to the first lights and do a U-Turn. Mcdonalds and a Cracker Barrel in walking distance, Wilson town centre is only 3 miles away. Gets my vote everytime.

spend the extra $30 for a different hotel; this one has too many unaddressed maintenance issues We wanted to like this hotel but the owners refuse to resolve fairly simple, fairly inexpensive issues like replacing the carpet on the stairways and hallways and installing basic baseboard in the guestrooms; review after review mentioned these things so I assumed that any decent owner would have resolved these issues by now, but no they have not and some are safety issues. The carpet on the stairs has good sized holes in it as it is so worn -- so this situation has been going on long term. The room isn't terrible but all along the floor where the walls meet the floor looks unfinished / dirty because no baseboard was installed. Baseboard is a standard item and it's not expensive! On a positive note, the staff was great and the price was OK but Microtel was no value given these issues and we will not be back. The "inn and suites" hotel nearby is just a little more and you get a LOT more for your dollar! Shame on the owners of this MIcrotel for not addressing these basic items. Wyndham you should drop this location if it is not willing to resolve these matters.

Cheap and cheerful In general the motel was quite nice, good location and. very polite staff. The main letdown were the common areas like the carpets on the corridors or staircases which didn’t smell very nice. The room however was ok and had everything you’d expect. Also the breakfast was quite nice and had fair variety including pancakes, bagels, muffins and more.

Poor value for the big price For $145/night I expected more. We booked for a 1st floor room but (we are in our 80s) had to carry luggage to 2nd floor. No elevator! The phone didn’t work The key fob for the door didn’t work The remote didn’t change channels on the tv. It was a lot of $$ for a very mediocre stay in a city with few amenities. Never again!

Too sketchy to stay Carpet was filthy and stained, weird splatters on the wall; upgrades needed to replace tile, moldings, carpet. Equipment, mini-fridges, sitting in the hallway. Lobby doors and windows were propped open as well as rear outside doors. It did not feel safe because who knows who could wander in, along with the stray cat that did come in, and I would be returning late for the second night. Checked out early and canceled our second night. It's definitely not a $100+ room. Want to add anything else?
