Good time in Winchester. Great location for a long weekend trip to the Winchester, Va. area. Add a very friendly staff and all the usual Hampton amenities, and you have a good vacation. It was easy to get to Old Town Winchester, the battle fields, and hiking places. We have been to many Hamptons around the country and this one was one of the best. Thank you.

Not Hilton quality. GW Wyndham is much nicer. 1. Front desk is friendly and the pool looked nice. 2. Trash left from previous visitors in metal style shelves under tv. 3. Bed rattles a lot when you sit on it. 4. Tv remote sucks. No guide. Channel up and down button is really slow. Channels start at around 25. I couldn’t figure it out. 5. No electric outlets near head of bed. Had to run an extension cord from an outlet near tv for my sleep machine. 6. Electric outlet near tv needs replaced. 7. No USB outlets near head of bed to charge phone. 8. Large dust bunny laying on toilet. 9. Hair conditioner bottle in shower was empty. The George Washington Wyndham is much nicer.

Clean and cool, but hard beds The hotel was clean and the service was kind and courteous. The breakfast was good. The A/C worked well on a hot day. On the downside, the queen beds were far too firm for me. I think they could have used a pillow top or something to make them less abrupt.

passing through Winchester Spacious room for 2 people. Clean and comfortable, no issues here. Check in and out was easy. Near a mall and a university for shopping and restaurants. Had some road noise from the busy street but did not affect our sleep. Plenty of towels and hot water. Would recommend if passing through the area.

Okay experience if you are staying in Winchester or the surrounding areas We stayed 3 nights here while in town for a nearby funeral. Overall it was a decent stay. The hotel is a bit old and could use some upgrades, but the room was decent. The parking for Diamond was plentiful which was great compared to some hotels. The breakfast is basic Hampton food, and pretty small area with limited seating which can fill up especially on the weekends. They do have pay laundry on site and a pool. Our biggest issue was with the smell coming from the sewage or sewer drain pipes - it was worst on the first and last days we were there. It was gross and not due to us as it already existed when we arrived. The other problem we had was the loud noises from next door rooms - the walls aren't very thick and we could easily hear other voices next door. Also, dogs...apparently they are very dog friendly, but that meant we heard barking dogs at all hours - 4am, 11pm, etc. Whether they had been left alone or not we don't know, but the barking would go on and on for 15-20 minutes at a time. We couldn't complain because we had no idea if the dog was next door, below us, or above us - just that we could hear it barking constantly. Overall a decent stay for a reasonable rate - but keep in mind that because it is older soundproofing is not the greatest.
