Lots of good and bad points Cleanliness: the place seems to be well kept. Carpet was clean and looked like it may have been recently changed. Linens and bathroom also looked clean. Friendliness: staff are friendly and courteous. Especially at breakfast where all the ladies in the kitchen would smile and laugh with guests. Price: price was good - about $140/night. Included free wifi, parking and hot breakfast (unlimited bacon, sausage, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, fruit yogurt, fresh waffles, bagels, muffins, toast, oatmeal, cereal, juices, tea, coffee… just help yourself and go!) Noise: this was a big factor in my rating. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything going on around you - above, below, from the rooms on each side, across the hall… conversations, the shower, the heating/cooling system… everything. Made it difficult to get a good night sleep. Comfort: this was another big factor. The bed felt like an over sized camp bed. If you’re looking for lumbar support this is not the place. Location: the location is convenient if you need to be downtown. Steps from the Windsor-Detroit tunnel. Lots of parking. Lots of restaurants nearby, banks, pharmacies, duty free store, etc. About 8-10 min drive to University of Windsor, Devonshire Mall, grocery stores and big box stores. No such thing as rush hour in downtown - for the few days I was here, there was very little traffic and so getting around was easy. The following is not the fault of the hotel, but important to add. Much of downtown Windsor does have a ‘sketchy/ghetto’ vibe - lots of people looking for scraps of food in garbage cans, panhandlers, empty stores, people loitering in parking lots…

TEAMS STAY AWAY!!! VERY RUDE STAFF!!! Please let me start by saying that I do quite a bit of traveling for my job and I do stay at choice Hotel properties frequently. I am absolutely shocked and disgusted by the treatment our girls softball team and parents recieved during our stay at this establishment. Everything started fine with us being pleasantly greeted by Muhammed, the weekday desk clerk. He was fantastic and a delight to deal with. This was followed by a small, but enjoyable complimentary breakfast. The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything changed the following day. After our games were cancelled due to rain, our team retreated to the hotel for some team bonding and a chance to unwind after a disappointing day. Upon our arrival back at the hotel, entry to the lobby was achieved by walking through plumes of marijuana smoke from guests smoking close to the entrance which wasn't appreciated by players out parents. Earlier that day one of our older players asked the staff where our team could "hang out together"? She was told that the common area downstairs was available. Early that evening our team including parents decided to convene there for some team activities and socialization. Our girls were sitting around having snacks, laughing and having fun but not being excessively loud, rude or vulgar in any way. This is when the weekend evening desk clerk decided to come half way down the staircase, berate our players and disrespect the parents who were present and supervising the team. She referred to our gathering as a frat party, told our girls they were disgusting and making a mess. This really couldn't be further from the truth as some of the parents have pictures. The girls were shocked and embarrassed to be referred this way which really dampened the entire team weekend experience. I'm so disappointed and will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.

Recommended for a comfortable stay in Windsor Ontario This is a good hotel one of the Choice Brand of hotels. Pretty reasonable rates for a very comfortable stay, right in downtown area, close to USA Canada border, lots of good restaurants around in this area just in steps of walking distance. The hotel itself is a very clean property. Staff very friendly and nice people, Front Desk Staff Derek and Grima were very attentive and helpful to guests needs. Fast check in. Breakfast included with stay was pretty decent. The lady in Breakfast area Karen was also very pleasant, friendly and a very good hostess on breakfast station. In all, I will recommend this property to anyone visiting Windsor for a comfortable stay on a budget.

Awful and Terrible Experience. Stay away from this hotel to protect your health Disgusting service, the hotel does not change the bedsheets amid arising Monkeypos and other emerging viruses. There were big blood spots on my bedsheet, blood spot was on a chair. There were big long hairs in the bathroom. No apologies from the hotel as they just ignored these issues. Avoid staying there at all costs.

Convenient location with excellent staff We stayed for the weekend and visit Detroit. The hotel is very close to the border crossing so it was very convenient. Specious room, clean with sink outside of the bathroom (excellent idea with 2 people trying to get ready in the morning) and very polite staff. The young lady at the front desk was so well mannered that she handed back my cards with two hands. This may be normal in Japan but not seen here. Everyone worked there were friendly and cheerful. The lady in the breakfast room refused a tip saying that the cook should get it! It may not have the amenities of a 3 or 4 star establishment, but their people more than make it up :)
