Hampton Inn Winfield

Almost a 5 Giving it a 4+ instead of a 5 because for a Hampton it just wasn't a 5. All was good except: Not enough working 120v outlets by the bed. I used my 3 outlet long extension cord and my 3 way outlet. The 120v outlets in the two lamps did not work. They would not retain the plug if they did work. We both use CPAPs so we need access to 120v near the bed. The refrigerator was larger than some with a small freeze compartment. The freeze compartment was so full of ice it was useless. I left the door open an turned the refrigerator off when we left so it would defrost. Otherwise the hotel and room was good and clean. It had plenty of towels for 2 in a king room. Easy and friendly check in. There is a Huddle House nearby with other choices in town.

Excellent Night’s Stay I would give Hampton Inn a big Wow based on their beds. They were very comfortable, soft, with plenty of covers and pillows. The shower provided the perfect temperature and pressure, which sometimes isn’t achieved. Limited room on the bathroom vanity but an elephant, made from towels, provided amusement. Breakfast offered eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, and an assortment of breads and muffins. This Hampton Inn is definitely a star in the motel network. We will come back again.

Beautiful property I had to stay here because the roads were too icy to travel and enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfy, the products in bathroom were delightful. Breakfast and coffee were good. The staff was friendly and empathetic to all the travelers that stopped behind me. I'm so glad they had a snack bar because that was my dinner.

Will pass by next time!! Stop along travel route. Check in was electronic so no front desk contact. Lobby was nice, little dark. Obviously an older hotel. Pictures are better than things really are! They offer coffee but the two coffee and the hot water containers were almost cold, not hot. Mentioned at desk and was told “ya I know but there are two here pointing to end of check in counter.” There were two coffee containers and again just warm.Never saw cookies! Hallways clean. Room appeared clean, well laude out. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom appeared cleaned but when went to use toilet, under seat was dirty (obviously not cleaned). Shower was sprinkled with one foot long dark hairs (we both about one inch long gray hair) and scum along drain. Pool was cold and obviously not to be used. Fitness center was ok, selection of weights, treadmill, two bikes but the elliptical was not useable, off balance or something (mentioned at front but was told that it works! Breakfast was not like pictures, did have some muffins (no pastries) and overcooked sausage. Didn’t try omelettes didn’t look good (container full). The gravy for biscuits was shiny and looked like wall paper paste. Overall not great, oatmeal good. Saw lots of food in garbage!

Worth the difference. Clean. Bed very comfortable. Everything we needed. Happy with our stay. Just a little bit above cost of nearby hotels, but worth the difference. We were pleased. Breakfast had everything, but gravy not so good. Would have been nice to have handheld shower.
