Fairmont Gold Afternoon Tea I had the pleasure of experiencing Fairmont Gold’s Afternoon Tea with my family while staying at the Fairmont Winnipeg. The joy of celebrating my great granddaughter’s first tea experience in my ‘home-away-from-home’ in the heart of Winnipeg was an experience I will never forget! We were all blown away by the attentive service of Aarsh, who, as always, blows us all away with his incredible memory and sweet demeanour. I have been staying at the hotel consistently for the last two years since my family moved to the city and the Fairmont Gold team always puts a smile on my face. What I loved most about this latest offering on Fairmont Gold was how personal and intimate the Afternoon Tea experience was. As an exclusive opportunity to Fairmont Gold guests, the team brings luxury to a whole new level with their attention to detail, dedication, and care for their guests, the service, and for their hotel. With the Afternoon Tea experience, I absolutely loved the lemon cheesecake we had and enjoyed my Lot35 mint tea so much that I had to enjoy a cup every evening at the Fairmont Gold lounge for the rest of my stay! I could not recommend this experience enough and I am so glad I now get to thank Fairmont Gold for another amazing memory in this great city.

Needs improvement Very nice staff. Hotel’s location by the Exchange District, The Forks, and other cultural attractions is great. Breakfast with Fairmont Gold was good. The beds are comfortable and have nice linens. The air conditioning didn’t work too well. Also, the hotel is dated; the wallpaper seams are coming unglued, the decor and furniture have seen better days, and the bathrooms are small. The sauna needs fixing. Thank you!

Standard hotel I left after staying at the fairmont in vancouver and arrived at the winnpeg fairmont. A few issues safe that needed batteries and shower that more or less sprinkled water lol. Its an older hotel with power bars under the bed to run the lights. Its clean and well kept just maybe not what youre expecting if youve stayed at fairmonts elsewhere.

bad experience There were a few issues: 1) My wife ask for a fork during the stay, but it never came. 2) I had to "request" for the front desk to remind them that they forgot the "welcome" drink tickets. When my wife order a dirty martini to be brought up to the room, the waiter used some gin there was not fresh or there was a odd taste to it. My wife didn't like it and had to call down to get it replaced. The second time, the gin tasted completely different (maybe use a new bottle) and it was much better. I am not sure why the waiter was using a poorer quality gin in the first place at a 4 star hotel. 3) During the stay, my wife and daughter was repeatedly harassed from the staff about using points to pay off the hotel stay. My family is there to enjoy the experience not to be harassed by the staff. I am not sure why this is happening and is very disappointing as a customer. 4) The pool and sauna was close for the duration of the stay and the facilities cannot be used.

Not Fairmont quality I have stayed at many Fairmont Hotels. This hotel does not compare in anyway to the experience I would expect. Other than the beds, this was not even close to Fairmont quality. Examples include a completely empty mini bar, no working vending machines for soft drinks (cold soda after a long day traveling…no such luck), sketchy neighbourhood, taxi booked by front desk for early morning departure never arrived…. But the bed was comfortable.
