Great ski in out condo We were lucky to reserve the condo building D to get the ski in and out on the 5th floor. Also, the outside pool was a short indoor walk to the next building. Our room had a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable Murphy bed, a sofa, every channel imaginable on the tv, and a great location. The only negative is the damn codes. I’m good at memorizing, however, the code would not work several times and I had to text the owner to get new codes. It was frustrating. Overall, we had a great stay and we would definitely come back here.

Not exactly ski-in/ski-out The condos themselves are not ski-in/ski-out. One of the buildings has a walkway to a trail that leads to the gondola. It’s not bad, but saying the place is ski-in/ski-out is misleading. At our place in Steamboat, we actually ski out the back door onto the trail. That is not what’s going on here. There was a ton of construction here when we visited. The water was turned off for a few hours one day. We got about 24 hours notice. They also had people clearing snow off the roof while my son was trying to take a nap - with no notice. The hot tub is pretty nice. It’s shared among all the buildings. But there was always ample space when I visited during the weekday.

No hot water! No call back to make it right. We decided to take a quick trip with my niece and her fiancee to snowboard at Winter Park and used the main Winter Park Resort booking agency to get a condo at Iron Horse. After a long day of snowboarding, we get to the condo to find we have no hot water. Signs were posted around the building and the regular residents assured us that all the owners and booking establishments were made aware weeks before that the hot water would be shut off, but they rented us the condo anyhow. When I called to complain, they said they would call me back, but they never did. After returning home, I called again, and they said they refunded us $50 - out of a $345 dollar stay?!?! 14% for not being able to shower after boarding all day or the next day before getting on a plane? I explained my frustration and the person on the phone agreed and said a manager would call me back—that was last week. Still no word. I waited to write the review, hoping someone would make it right, but sadly, no one has.

Another Rental Mess Very difficult using the phone codes to access the garage and condo. Had to call support. Couldn't imagine 10pm at night and 10 degrees outside. Finally got into the condo, electrical panel door was open. It looked like one of the switches on the kitchen backsplash was "burned out." I didn't use the microwave or any other appliances. Heat was primarily provided by a gas fireplace: super scary design. Couldn't easily get through the bedroom or bathroom doors due to the "tightness" of the spaces. (Bedroom door hit the bed). Not really any worse than any of the VRBOs I've used over the past 20 years... The toilet reluctantly flushed and there was hot water in the shower. It was only one night's stay. Will never return.

No running water and no accountability! We had no running water for >6hrs in our condo. The management company ( Resort Management Co) does not care about the customer. It took >2 hours and many calls to get a response as to why we were without running water. (There was a leak in another unit causing water to be shut down in the entire building! Yet no one informed us). We woke up to no running water. We paid for a unit presumably with running water. We get that sometimes unexpected things happen but resolve it quickly. The excuse that “when you are 9000 feet and it’s very cold, things can happen” is simply lame! When something breaks, fix it. If you cannot do it in a timely manner, compensate the guest for their inconvenience and additional expenses incurred ( ie. We ate breakfast and lunch outside because we can’t cook in the kitchen). We also had to go to another building to shower at the gym. After all the hassles, no apologies, no compensation or credits. Very poor customer service, We have stayed in numerous units at IKON PASS resorts, We never experienced anything like this in terms of the lack of accountability. Bottom line. When a guest rents a condo, there is a basic expectation to have running water. If something happens, make it right. The guest matters! In this case, Resort Management Co. failed miserably. Btw, we rented through WP central reservations but the unit is managed by Resort Management Co.
