Perfect stay with 10 Year Old Granddaughter A perfect place to take my 10 year old granddaughter, excellent room, tasty and well presented food, incredibly friendly, competent, and helpful staff (felt perfectly cared for, including after a very minor need for first aid) . The waterpark was perfect for a 10 year old (or a 73 year old), teens might want a bit more thrills. The only downside a 1/2 hour wait at checkin (this does happen at resorts). This property was part of a perfect stay in the Dells

Don't waste your money!! Reserved a 3-bedroom condo. Room was filthy, carpets dirty, elevators extremely slow, overpriced room rates, poor pool bar service, Manager on Duty disengaged, daily parking rate confusing.

Don't go! Go to the Wilderness or Kalahari instead. I wasn't going to write a review because sometimes you just have a bad experience, but because Great Wolf Lodge double charged me for the flex stay and won't refund me my money or return my email after 10 days, then this is what it comes to. This was our first time to Great Wolf Lodge in the Dells. The waterpark was the highlight of our trip, but honestly, just average. We stayed multiple days, so we eventually found our way around after the first day, but they need more signs, directions, or maps on how to get to the various activities. A lot of broken or non-working items in the kid's sections, but our kids didn't seem to mind. All of the waterpark staff that we encountered were very nice and attentive, although not very knowledgeable about where things were like the water fountains, or how to buy the refillable souvenir cup, or why some things work one day, but not the next, like the waterfall in the hot tub. The front desk staff was kind of hit or miss and some were hard to understand their English. It was hard to talk to one of them because she kept talking over me. I was a little bit miffed during check-in when I specifically talked to 2 different staff members over the phone and texted Willow and wrote on the reservation that we needed to have a ground floor room because we have a special needs kid with autism who likes to wake up in the middle of the night and jump and pound on the floor and it doesn't make for very happy campers below us. They assured me that everything would be taken care of. However, when I checked in, our room wasn't set up that way and the supervisor behind the desk had to do some last-minute rearranging to accommodate us. What if we would have been late and all of your ground floor rooms had been taken? I later realized that the "staff" members I talked to were part of a call center. Not good! Room cleanliness was not very good, but probably the best the attendants could do with what they had to work with. Lots of sticky and grimy areas where one would naturally put their hands. My wife spent the first 2 hours of our stay cleaning everything. The carpet was delaminating and very dirty causing your feet or socks to turn black. The whole place is outdated and getting run-down and needs some serious TLC. Also, the TV wouldn't work and a maintenance worker had to come in to "pair" the remote with the TV. The biggest problem we had was on our last day when we got new neighbors in the condo next door and they inexplicably locked the outside door causing a needless altercation because of the misunderstanding of the use of the lock. This caused a meeting with the security team, who handled the situation very nicely in my opinion, because we were pretty fired up after waiting about 10 minutes to get into our room and our autistic kid was freaking out. What really made me incensed was when trying to contact the front desk, I had to jump through all the hoops of the automated phone system to speak to a real person, and then they wanted me to take a survey. No! I just need to talk to somebody who can come and unlock the damn door! I expressed my dismay at the purpose of the extra lock since we have stayed at other condos set up the same way without an extra lock and never had any problems. I know it should be common sense, but this is another area where they could use a sign if they are insisting on keeping the extra lock such as, Only Use Lock When Reserving Both Rooms. I can't believe that it doesn't happen more often if all of their rooms are set up the same way. The extra $19 per night charge for parking just seemed like more nickel and diming. We did like the convenience of the wristbands for access into our room and paying for things. Overall, our kids did have a pretty good time, but mom and dad were disappointed. We probably wouldn't have been so upset, but this place isn't cheap. You are paying for first class, but only getting coach. We also arrived a little bit early for check-in, around 3:30, hoping to beat the rush, but it didn't matter. It still took about an hour for check-in. I guess you need to arrive about 2 hours early just to be first in line.

Maintenance Issues Our recent stay at Great Wolf Lodge was disappointing. The living room TV didn't work, requiring a tech visit, and my partner got trapped in a faulty bathroom for nearly an hour. Maintenance fixed it but left a mess, and no one followed up or apologized. It was a distressing experience.

Disappointed Disappointed. A brief rain came thru & they closed the outdoor park. Indoor park extremely crowded. Front desk staff was inefficient. But worst of all, was after paying $300 a night per room ,the park had the nerve to charge for parking! I didn't pay for a parking permit. There is no reason to pay for parking. What are they gonna do, tow 25% of the cars of paying guests ? I dont think so. Do not pay for parking!
