What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
I have a great appreciation of this world, even beyond my photographic endeavors. My passion for photography has brought me to the place I am in, and is turning me into the person I am becoming. Photography allows me to see and express what is often invisible or has gone unnoticed to others.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
Bring your basic dSLR camera gear and pen & paper for note taking. I do provide pdf tutorials (upon request) of the information covered. Point and shoot cameras with manual controls are also welcome. Since every camera is different, you should definitely bring your manual.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Photography is truly my passion in life. I guess you could say "It's not what I DO, it's who I AM." I find it very gratifying when I can seize the moment with my camera. It's this part of myself I want to share with the world, and to help others find their way of doing the same.
What do you love most about your job?
Through photography, we can discover and offer something wonderful, magical and new. Photography is a journey. A journey through life, emotion, self-expression…and spiritual maturity. I love photography. It’s the perfect lifestyle for me and my personality.
Though its name accurately reflects its function, the Albany JCC has always striven to go further, providing a neighborhood community, regardless of faith. Always aiming at this goal, the center offers services and facilities geared toward everyone, from seniors to bustling families. Amenities include a fitness center equipped with the latest exercise equipment, fitness classes, an indoor and outdoor pool, and an early childhood center that provides daycare. Elementary school and teen programs give kids something to do with their free time, and summer camps help them find productive ways to while away the warmer months.
At the eba Center for Dance and Fitness, the world of West Side Story coexists with the folklore of Tahiti and the fluid performance art of Isadora Duncan. That's because the class catalogue is both sprawling and diverse, accommodating guests of all ages and abilities. Move Your Body classes, for example, cater to students 50 and older with a restorative and rhythmic workout, while ballet and modern hip-hop fusion courses hone in on specific styles. Some classes, like Pilates and yoga, focus on developing muscle and flexibility. Others, like Ballet Workout, gracefully combine dance and fitness aspects without having students do the Macarena on a treadmill.
Not only a safe, encouraging environment for kids to be creative, KidzArt is also a place where anyone from age 2 to adult can build confidence and learn to see the world in a new way. With a variety of kids' classes, as well as painting and drawing for adults, artists of all ages can express themselves, explore new mediums, and bring out their inner Van Gogh by painting it a bouquet of blobby sunflowers.
