Doctor of Chiropractic Dan Diep was at his wits’ end. After suffering from scoliosis, poor posture, and frequent back pain growing up, Dr. Diep thought his problems would fade anyway; but in college, picking up a heavy backpack sent shooting pains down a leg. At the suggestion of a friend, he visited a chiropractor and yielded amazing results with simple adjustments. He decided his calling in life was to become a chiropractor and help others in pain—and he hasn’t looked back.
The other chiropractors that work with Dr. Diep also understand their patients’ pain firsthand: one suffered migraines and backaches and another suffered from traumatic injuries following a car wreck before being healed by chiropractic care. They all aim to pay it forward with posture and thermal nerve scans that root out problems and low-force adjustment techniques that fix them.
Started as a single Newport Beach clinic in 1971, Lindora was the brainchild of Dr. Marshall Stamper, who was motivated by the unfortunate loss of his mother due to weight-related complications. Now, more than 40 years later, Lindora's weight-loss programs continue to bestow humanoids with a plethora of personalized nutrition plans and private one-on-one health consultations. At each Lindora location, medically trained teams of health-care professionals guide patients through lab work, health assessments, and exams to discern the most efficient trajectory into better health. Patients receive encouragement to adjust their lifestyle and behavior, and bellies stay buoyed by nutrition support and menu plans that spotlight fresh, balanced meals.
Long-term weight maintenance is the goal of the clinic's medically based programs, which means patients needn't worry about extra pounds boomeranging back into their lives like a persistent pet chinchilla. Check the FAQs page here for more information about Lindora's approach to weight loss.
Spread across KMC Rejuveno Wellness Center's 2,300 square feet are four treatment rooms—one for nails, one for massages, and two for facials. Inside the latter, skin specialists grab Dermaquest, Murad, and Magnolia Orchid skincare products, then refine complexions with seven different facials. Spa-goers can also indulge in an aromatherapy massage in the candlelit massage room or a gel mani-pedi amid the nail room's tropical-muraled walls. Outside these rooms, crystal chandeliers glimmer over the ornate interior decor, which includes red velvet loveseats and cherubs plucking harps until Cupid retires and they get the call.
When skimming Dr. Robert T. Lin’s credentials, the number 25,000 stands out. It represents how many successful refractive surgeries he has completed in his career. One can only assume that several of those tallies come from the time he spent developing Micro-LASIK, a form of laser eye surgery considered less invasive than traditional LASIK because it creates a thinner corneal flap and no longer requires eyes to answer personal questions such as “When is the last time you had direct contact with a contact?” Dr. Lin founded IQ Laser Vision in 1999 and has since added an equally as skilled staff of fellow eye doctors who specialize in refractive eye surgery procedures, cataracts, Ortho-K, contact lenses, and pre- and post-operative eye care.
Helmed by the accomplished Dr. Vu, the staff at LaserPro Cosmetic helps clients maintain youthful appearances through a variety of noninvasive and surgical procedures. After a confidential consultation, Dr. Vu and her team of skilled specialists come up with a treatment plan that takes a minimalist approach and, at most, involves procedures done under local anesthesia. They offer EndyMed 3 skin-tightening technology and a comprehensive list of rejuvenation treatments, also combatting issues such as acne scarring or stretch marks with an array of lasers. In addition, physicians use Botox or Juvéderm to target unwanted wrinkles on the brow, mouth, or eyes, and cosmetic surgeries that include breast augmentation, liposculpture, and blepharoplasty. Dr. Vu also offers free informative seminars on the procedures she offers and why store mannequins never seem to age.
La Belle Laser & Plastic Surgery Center has been keeping up with the latest cosmetic-laser equipment since 1996. Today, the center is led by board-certified physician Tin L.
