Placed in the top 10 among the nation's new golf courses by Golfweek and Travel + Leisure Golf, Sugarloaf Mountain sends golfers up and down elevation changes of more than 250 feet. The design by Coore & Crenshaw—Crenshaw, as in 1984 Masters winner Ben Crenshaw—takes advantage of the site's natural characteristics, wandering through verdant oak forests and at one point reaching the highest point in the state. The designers were so loyal to the landscape that they even decided to use native sand in the bunkers rather than trucking in moon dust.

Arthur Murray has been a leading name in franchise dance since 1912, when the entrepreneur began selling mail-order dance lessons. Expanding his reach, he enlisted teachers to spread his signature dance lessons on first-class steamships and skyrocketed to fame in the '30s after introducing the public to such dances as the Lambeth Walk and The Big Apple. By the 1950s, Arthur and his wife, Kathryn, were hosting their own highly popular TV show on ABC, The Arthur Murray Dance Party, which ran for 12 years. Today, Arthur Murray's team prepares students for rug cutting at special events and weekend nightclub jaunts. Throughout lessons, instructors teach the foundations of two to four dances from a long list of styles that range from Latin to country-western, helping students to learn basic step patterns, timing, and the ability to lead or follow.
With seemingly unlimited amounts of sunshine washing over the hills of Clermont, golfers take to the tees on two distinct courses at Kings Ridge Golf Club. The Kings Course holds rank as the club's largest. At 6,269 yards from the back tees, it leads golfers across 18 holes of natural rolling terrain. Elevated tees only add to this course's charm, since they afford views that are normally reserved for basketball players stacked in human pyramids.
The Ridge course, meanwhile, checks in at 3,660 yards. Despite its relative brevity, this executive course packs plenty of score-inflicting punch, including water hazards, pot bunkers, and deep grass roughs. Players can properly prepare for such challenges at Kings Ridge Golf Club's golf academy, which features everything from individual and group lessons to camps and clinics.
Holding a state certification and multiple NRA training certifications, Julio A. Cortes leads an instructional team drawn from retired law-enforcement, military, and SWAT personnel. Specializing in basic pistol instruction—including women-only courses—Gulfcoast Firearms Academy's instructors qualify students to apply for a state concealed-weapon permit by teaching fundamentals such as basic terminology and situation awareness. For students desiring more-advanced training, they also lead tactical pistol and rifle shooting classes, imparting skills from one-handed reloading to shooting from a standing, seated, lying, and fetal position.
