Irish Oaks designs its lesson programs to produce well-rounded, educated riders. The facility starts with students as young as 7, teaching newcomers tacking, grooming, bathing, and other fundamental horsemanship skills. Old hands learn championship-caliber techniques for the show ring. No matter their experience level, though, every rider enjoys access to Irish Oaks' roster of amenities. Stretched across 55 acres, the facility boasts a covered arena, an all-weather arena with a full jump course, and trails that snake across the property and spill over onto the adjacent 260-acre farm.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
The purpose of our Hapkido self-defense training is so the student will be able to apply these defensive skills (joint locks, throws, striking, kicking and pressure points) in the real world
to any type of attack (grab, punch or kick).
Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well?
We train students from Age 13 to Age 65.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
A mugger is looking for an easy prey to attack like someone who is not paying attention to their surroundings and may look like an easy target.
We teach the physical and non-physicals defenses to protect against any one who would attack you.
What do you love most about your job?
I like to hear feedback from my students who have had to use their Hapkido skills to protect themselves in the real world.
American saddlebred horses trot across more than 55 acres of verdant countryside at Jansal Saddlebreds LLC’s training facility, where experienced equestrians devote themselves to riding, breeding, and caring for their trusty mares and stallions. Budding riders bond with carefully selected mounts as instructors teach them to trot, canter, and conduct clopping symphonies in private or group lessons held in an outdoor arena or a lighted, climate-controlled indoor arena. Pastures, turnout paddocks, and scenic trails await beyond the arenas’ fences, where professional trainers Janelle D’Amato and Bobby Jones occasionally lead rides. The facility’s professional roster includes a litany of show-ring champions and a barn manager who curates shows in which horses can display their finest salt-lick sculptures.
