Grapes and golf are a great combination on The Course at Wente Vineyards, a beautiful Greg Norman design in the Livermore Valley 50 minutes east of San Francisco. The rolling hills come alive with elevated tee shots and panoramic views revealing the surrounding countryside. The Course at Wente Vineyards offers three distinct topographies: Native woodlands, mature vineyards and hills of natural grasslands. The 7,181-yard course hosted a Nationwide Tour event (now the Korn Ferry tour) three times, playing so tough that it produced the Tour’s highest scoring average in 2006 and 2007. Playing the proper tee box will help any golfer enjoy the day. So will a glass of wine as a post-round celebration.
Designed by Rees Jones, 1995 Golf Digest Architect of the Year, this 27-hole layout is much different than Poppy Hills in that it has only one original tree. The Merlot, Chardonnay and Zinfandel nines offer challenging and enjoyable golf for any level of player. Carved in the rugged terrain of the Livermore foot-hills, Poppy Ridge offers spectacular views of the golf course and beyond. Each hole is shaped by extensive bunkering, giving the course a true links feel.

With the look and feel of a most exclusive country club, The Bridges Golf Club provides its guests with an elite golf experience and exceptional service. This is an 18-hole championship course with superior conditions, a distinct style and its own personality. But you might not be aware in the spring of 2013, under the management of KemperSports, The Bridges Golf Club completed an extensive bunker renovation project geared to improve daily maintenance, and to enhance the playability and overall strategy of the course. In an effort to improve maintenance, each bunker was completely rebuilt and outfitted with new drainage, a state of the art bunker liner and new sand. Next, playability was enhanced by re-crafting the bunkers to ensure that the depth of the bunker was appropriate for the shot being played, and reshaping the bunkers for easier access. Finally, a handful of bunkers were moved or shifted in order to improve the strategy of a particular hole and also to guard specific hole-locations. Overall more than two dozen bunkers were removed and numerous slopes were softened across the 18-hole championship course.
