Dr. John Ensign's love of animals began at age eight with his best friend Fred, a dog that he bought with his brother for $10. Though a lot has changed since the days of Fred, John's passion for pets hasn't. After veterinary school, the John spent 10 years as Nevada’s representative in the U.S. Senate where he was considered one of the Humane Society’s biggest allies. More recently, he's opened Boca Park Animal Hospital, a 9,000-square-foot medical, grooming, and boarding facility that offers furry patients a loving staff of nurses and the latest technology in veterinary care. The building was renovated from the ground up to include noise-reduction insulation, luxury pet boarding suites,
and a 1,600 square foot exercise area with a realistic mailman punching bag. Specialty laser therapy is also available to address wound healing, ear infections, liver disease, infections, and even behavior problems.
The smile on a once-forlorn animal's face when it's united with new owners can't be matched, as the staff of The Animal Foundation knows well. What was once a tiny spay and neuter clinic when it opened in 1978 has grown into an 8-acre campus that shelters and cares for animals without a home. After a careful vetting process, families seeking four-legged companionship can find it here, relieving Dad from his duties of crawling around the house all day. The clinic still offers low-cost spay and neutering services, as well as vaccinations to prevent rabies and other diseases. Town Center Animal Hospital is located in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, and caters exclusively to cats and dogs in need of a helping hand. Inside the luxurious space, a large shelf decked out with everything from treats and pet food to toothpaste offers the necessities the animals (and their owners) need to maintain proper pet health. The hospital also provides 24-hour emergency services, thanks to several on-staff veterinarians, and specialty surgeries are possible as well. To keep animals and their owners happy, Town Center Animal Hospital provides free exams to new clients, just to make sure your pet is in top-notch condition. Routine and advanced dental procedures, digital ultrasounds, drop-off appointments and customized wellness plans are also available for all cats and dogs.
The West Charleston Animal Hospital is a large veterinarian space that specializes in the extensive and everyday needs of beloved family dogs and cats. The hospital is beautiful on the inside and out, thanks to the stone tile exterior and tall windows, while the inside holds a large reception desk and comfortable lobby, plus food and treats for recovering animals. A massive treatment area on site allows plenty of room for dogs and cats to feel comfortable and unafraid, while six trained staff members conduct their services seven days a week. Emergency care is available until midnight, and the hospital allows walk-ins; they even board animals when owners are out of town.
Old Yeller. Lassie. Shilo. These loyal, loving creatures have won the hearts of millions in their fictional roles, supporting Drs. Judy Van Der Walt and Mark Dolginoff’s belief that pets are vital members of their families, even if they are middle "children." At Paradise Pet Hospital—which is owned and operated by Seven Hills Pet Hospital—the doctors and their veterinary team provide tender care for their clients’ animal companions, ranging from preventative services to dentistry to radiology and surgery. They also offer wellness plans for dogs and cats that cover basic preventative-care services, such as vaccinations and regular exams.
