  • Landmark Catering & Convention Center
Built in 1925, the Temple Theatre first served as a vaudeville venue, later becoming a host for road shows, burlesque, and movies. However, the theatre closed in 1965, and would be subjected to disrepair, vandalism, and skeleton xylophone recitals for more than 15 years. A 1981 restoration project returned the theatre to its former glory. Today, seated under the gilded chandelier and wooden trim, theatergoers lose themselves in the thoughtful dramas enacted upon the stage.

The sprawling event center remains a go-to destination for visitors who want to catch a first-rate concert, root for their favorite sports team, or get an autography from their favorite gym towel.

  • Pacific Sports and Events Center
At 52,000 square feet, and with a capacity of 1,200 people, Pacific Sports and Events Center has more than enough room for your activities. Opened in March 2012, the massive facility houses a pair of indoor soccer fields, where youth- and adult-league games, practices, and training sessions unfold throughout the year. The fields are even versatile enough to be used for other sports, including lacrosse, football, and baseball. Sports aside, the center also invites guests to utilize its space for other activities, such as birthday parties. Plus, one Friday per month is reserved as Kids' Night Out. On that night, children aged 6?14 can gather at the center with friends while parents use the free time to go to dinner or jump on their bed, even though the house is not a gym.

  • The Pierce County Asylum
A typical haunted house is essentially a herding operation?albeit, yes, a particularly terrifying one. Guests walk through a narrow corridor and simply wait for unpleasant things to happen to them. At The Pierce County Asylum, however, the scares are self-initiated and highly interactive. After a delicious (though slightly demented) dinner, guests are sent into the 14,000-square-foot space clutching their game cards for dear life, but there's a twist to these already twisted proceedings: they have to make the first move. Once the barrier is broken, the characters will unleash their terror on groups of four to six, who must simultaneously fight their fears and attempt to solve the Asylum's demented puzzle. Those who check out alive can collect their prize and compare newly white hairs at an after-party.

  • S2BN Entertainment
Since opening with a Frank Sinatra performance in 1990, the stadium now known as Times Union Center has seen more than 15 million guests pass through its turnstiles. That’s only slightly smaller than the population of the Netherlands and roughly equal to the number of people worldwide who enjoy candy corn. Besides attracting such entertainment titans as the Rolling Stones, U2, Disney’s “On Ice” series, and the Harlem Globetrotters, the multifunction arena is also home to the AHL’s Albany Devils and college basketball’s Siena Saints.
