Painting with Canvas's founder Francesca Bessett is dedicated to inspiring students and supporting local businesses through art classes hosted at area watering holes. During group classes, she guides students through step-by-step painting instruction as they swill cocktails and color their canvases with masterpieces ranging from landscapes to abstract designs. Our lessons are taught by vibrant teachers who are all working professionals in the music industry and have the experience needed to teach lessons. What should your students expect to bring? Each room at our studio is fully equipped with a full length keyboard, mirror, guitar, ihome, microphone, marker board and more. Everything is designed to teach you in a professional environment. Your instructor will help you decide what books you need to get started. What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Jonnie and Brookie didn't just learn music, they lived it! They spent over 15 years performing professionally across the U.S. for places such as Radio Disney, Disney Summer at Sea, Sea World and more. Even though they still perform, what better way to share their love of music than to teach others. What do you love most about your job? We love teaching others to be passionate about music. We only hire teachers that are working musicians and are passionate as well. We wanted to have a studio that had everything that we knew was important in taking lessons. This includes the learning environment and only having vibrant teachers!

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? We pride ourselves in treating each family that walks through our door like our very own family. Our staff and teachers go above and beyond to build relationships with their students inside and outside of the dance studio. What equipment is provided? Is there anything visitors need to bring? We provide a "state of the art" dance environment with exceptional instructors. Visitors should have their child wear clothing that allows the dancer to move freely. Please call ahead of time to ask about each class's dress code and/or shoes needed for the class. We may be able to provide shoes. What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I have danced competitively my entire life and I've loved the way that dancing has shaped me into the person I am today. I want to share the gift of dance with kids in hopes to enrich their lives. What do you love most about your job? The best is when parents tell me that they've not only noticed a difference in their child's dance ability, but a tremendous difference in the way their child holds themselves with pride, their child now speaks with confidence and their child has "come out of their shell" because of my services.

Stan and Brenda Strom have more than just dessert recipes decorating their kitchen—although of those, they have hundreds. They also hold multiple blue ribbons from state fairs, with celebrated sweets including a coconut-custard macadamia-nut pie, a dark-chocolate raspberry glacier pie, and a maple-pecan cheesecake, as well as many others. Their beloved business, Blue Ribbon Desserts, got an extra boost toward stardom when it was featured on FoodNation with Bobby Flay. Chef Strom shares his confectionary skills in multiple ways. He bakes seasonal fruit pies, cheesecakes, and cookies fresh to order and ships them across the United States. He also reveals 60 of his favorite recipes in the Blue Ribbon Cookbook, which is said to smell like freshly churned butter during full moons. And in order to grant fans intimate access to his baking ways, he conducts monthly classes that empower students to create their own pies for family members and friends.
