Melissa was very nice. BUT I had shellac on my fingernails and the polish began chipping in less than a week. :(

Melissa is a personable individual that I felt comfortable with when I first met her. She did an outstanding job on my mani-pedi coupon. I will return for her services.

I would never go back to Melissa at Salon Couture, nor would I recommend her to anyone. I purchased a Groupon for a Shellac manicure. I get Shellac manicures on a regular basis somewhere else and am familiar with the process. When Melissa deviated from the correct procedure during the manicure, I expressed concern twice about the type of light she was using and the length of time for the drying cycles. She assured me it would be fine and that she did this "all the time". Within two hours of leaving the salon, the manicure began peeling. By that evening, several nails had their polish totally pop off. I also checked with CND, the makers of Shellac, and they confirmed that she performed the manicure incorrectly by not following the specific instructions for their product. I called Melissa the next morning (Thursday) and left a message explaining the situation, and told her I needed to get it fixed right away, as Memorial Day weekend was a day away. Melissa did not call me back that day. I called her again the next day (Friday) and she clearly had me confused with another client, not even realizing who I was or why I was calling. Melissa then told me that the earliest she could get me in to redo the manicure was the following Wednesday- a full week after the initial bad manicure. She did not even apologize. So, I had to walk around Memorial Day weekend with a botched manicure. Her lack of professionalism and poor customer service caused me to then cancel the redo appointment and ask for my money back. I never heard from Melissa again. I also chose to not use a Groupon from her for a microdermabrasion, because there was no way I was letting someone so incompetent in such a basic service come near my face with a heavy exfoliant. Again, I've received no reimbursement for that Groupon as well. My hopes is that Groupon will let Melissa at Salon Couture know that if you make a mistake in your services, you apologize and do whatever you can to fit the customer into your schedule and make it right, ASAP. Listening and responding to customers would be good as well. I would recommend that Groupon not promote her services any longer until she changes her way of doing business.

It was the worst spa day ever. The services were sub par and the location was not Salon culture. The new place was not very well put together but neither was the service. She didn't dress professional, she didn't act professional, and the services were far from professional quality.
